  • have trouble putting applying material to truck tailgate

I am a newcomer to the sign industry, need all the help I can get if all possible. I did a cutcontour on a graphic to fit on the tailgate of a truck. I can’t seem to be able to apply it very will. I either has alot of bubbles in it or it seems to rip out. Can somebody give me some advise on a better way of doing this. I have wasted alot of material just doing trial and error, but still can’t get it to form right. Any suggestions on how to do it.

    Thanks,

Josh, are you fitting to a curved surface, how big is the graphic is it plain vinyl, or print? and also what material ar you using.

I am using oracal 751 colored vinyl. Did a cut contour on it. The graphic is about the size of the tailgate, but its not a solid piece. there are places where it is cut out. It is going on a newer Toyota Tundra tailgate. It is mostly flat but has alittle contour to it. I hope this helps.
