you can take the word Vauxhall off the main badge if it’s only the word that you want!
Don’t know about the Vectra badge, sorry.

No Probs Mark 0161 3436600 you will find both Brian & Jason very helpful.

I can recommend one of our friends on here called Northern Sign cases. I always use there services. If you want their phone No i will look it out for you.

Hi & welcome,
It would be of value to all of us if you could just give us an idea of what area you live in (not your address just area, London, Nottingham, Liverpool etc) as there may be someone on here within traveling distance to show you how to go on (Training)By the way i wont go into detail on here but in my opinion you are definitely entitled to claim benefits more so than a few i know who claim for no other reason than they receive more in benefits than they can earn by working for a living
If you are anywhere near me i would gladly help you out with a day or two training.

just realised Peter it wasn’t me who took over your thread, it was that Mort, you know what he’s like. :lol1:
L J -
Thanks Rob / Peter, i had same probs but this idea works, thanks.
L J -
quote Peter Normington:quote scozzie:Conforming has never been my thing. 😀 😀 😀
Not mine either, How did I manage 3 pages on a simple “SHOW US YOUR STUFF”
peterIt shows how clever you are Peter.
Sorry for taking over.

Dave, just realised does victory’s app tape still have their name printed on centre of cardboard core? We still have a few slit rolls of theirs that they must have slit with worn blades, every time you pull the tape off the roll it tears. I complained at the time & they sent me a few slit rolls f.o.c but they tore as well so haven’t bothered with them since.
L J -
It seems to vary from vinyl corp Dave, i used to pay £65 per log slitting free but more recently it has been £50 / £55 per log. In my opinion it’s worth £85 for the time saving & ease of use.
L J -
Hi McRod, It’s a very good 610 mm wide.
In my opinion Mutoh are the Rolls Royce of plotters but not so good on the printers.
L J -
good job you said that Shane, about Scozzie being in Oz.
Anyway i get my conform from vinyl corp Nottm
L J -
any one interested before i put it on ebay
L J -
Conform tape is smooth & lays flat on the backing paper & stays that way for days.
Oracale tape is rough & curls up at the corners therefore you cannot stack up a pile of weeding on top of each other as you can with conform.
Even my 2 girls wont use it unless there is no conform left, then they keep reminding me to order some more.
Last time i was at Dewi’s he was using it and all the corners were curling up & catching on the next layer on the pile. Don’t know if he took my advise to buy conform next time but Caroline & Dewi where *issed off with it as i am.
L JShane, always use med tack
-
Naw, it’s too rough
L J -
Mort, I have 2 full rolls of their app tape, not sure what i am going to do with it, certainly not using it, have gone back to “conform” can’t beat it.

Made that much i decided to move to bigger unit. When are you moving Rob?
L J -
That’s not quite what i meant Marek but i get the jist of it now all post that you have made right back to the 1st one are renumbered to your latest No.
so simple when you know, it’s no wonder Peter gave up 😳
L J -
Marek, are you saying that all my posts on the same thread, no matter how many i make are going to be the same No?
-
seems like it’s my computer at fault then, as peter has made 4 posts on this thread all are 1398!
L J
all mine on here are 59 -
Peter you have made 4 posts on all same No!
L J -
All i can say to that Peter is “My god how the other half live”
L JHave you noticed our post Nos? Something else for Rob to have a go at when he gets back.
-
I have started using the 751 instead of my usual 9800 MacTac, must admit so far it is better & £5 per roll cheaper, certainly cannot complain at that Peter.
Have you made him an offer Peter for that Bungalow! or is it a house with the ground floor being below ground as is the huge garage.
L J -
Gypsy, don’t panic mate, Rob is apparently away on a big job that’s why he hasn’t answered you as yet. Don’t forget he also runs a large company as well as the biggest & best signboards.
I know he will be back in a few days & then he will have a backlog of uksb work to catch up on. So just grin & bear it for a while longer please.

Anyway have fun.

Well done Shane, pleased you are getting the recognition you deserve mate. It’s also a decent article, as you said, unbiased.

Wish it had been taken their Shane, no, it is an air museum on the way down to London called “Duxford” at the side of the M11 (motorway) near Cambridge. Used to be RAF Station then USAF then museum.
I suppose I had better change it back to normal photo before i get told off for not using head & shoulders 😳 but i prefer this one as i look better from a long way off 😀 i think.
L J -
Simon, your idea is brilliant mate, wish i had done that in the past when same thing has happened

quote KTF:Sorry got to disagree, i have a Rockhopper 38 running eco solvent inks i have left the machine 3-4 weeks without running it. send print to it runs a quick cleaning cycle which is programmed into it & off it prints. occassionally it will clogg and head etc but quick clean off it goes.
Kev
Quite agree with Kev, my rockhopper 62 doesn’t give me any maintenance probs except for 1st 3 months of it’s life when they found the pump hadn’t worked from new.
L J -
Sorry to contradict Marek in my experience with frog juice i find it best & easiest to print, dry, spray, dry then cut & weed tape up.
I used to do it your way but found it more difficult to weed after spraying. it seems to hold it together more whereas cut it after spraying seems to cure the problem.
L Jhopefully after next Tuesday i shouldn’t have that problem when my new laminator should be up & running.

they can’t be Peter, Shane’s there

quote Lynn:Martin,
I am sure there are many excellent employee’s out there like you,
you are just very hard to come by, the sort around now finish what they are doing and wait and wait and wait until some one tells them what is next in a small place you can’t afford the waiter you need someone who looks and thinks that needs doing and gets on and does it,
hope whoever you work for appreciates your worth you didn’t say you were unhappy 😕Lynn
That’s why i employ 2 ladies, worth their weight in gold
L J -
Nice one Peter, yes, had a brilliant day there 3 weekends ago, not far from my sisters.
Been past it on the M11 hundreds of times over the years but never had time to call in before.
L J -
Since finding BriMark I have had excellent service & good prices from them, certainly wont be going anywhere else.
L J -
I’ve noticed that Peter, it can be too hot for vinyl lettering, so how does such as Shane go on in oz?
I’m pleased i have a decent size unit to keep vehicle warm in winter & shut the doors to keep out the sun in our short summer.

L J -
Paul,
your post about the 4 m round sign.
I have done many of these but not round, only square or oblong. The joining “H rail” that Chris is on about is factory fitted on the back of the aluminium so the front is perfect for flood coating. This is a perfect way to join them as the weight of the top one rests on the next one down and so on. Doesn’t need any type of panel locks. If you ring Steve Cooper at Klockners (ASD Metal Services) on 0114 234 1561 & give him your info he will advise you

No, Limo black is about the darkest one you can get & still see through it.

MemberJune 8, 2005 at 7:53 am in reply to: advice please how do i apply tint to windows? It’s the suppliers who tell me it has to be no more than 30% tint (Opacity)
Also been told same by the police. One of my customers insisted on Limo black for front windows, so a few weeks later he got pulled sorry she got pulled by the police & warned to take it off. A few weeks later she got pulled again by same policeman, this time he made her take it off there and then. Can’t help thinking that if this girl racer had been a boy racer he would have been done for it.

stands out nicely, well done

L Jnow who’s bored

Nik, Thanks to your instructions i have a screen shot showing 86, nearly caught up with you.
L J -
Nik, new house? or refurb your existing home.
L J -
Hi Robert, I reckon you have done pretty good with that flag.
Hope you don’t mind me downloading it but as i live approx 30 miles from the sea i think it would be pretty doubtful if i will ever be asked to use it!
L J -
Hi Nik,
How can you be bored when you are self employed?
I would have thought you would have been too busy to even think bored!
L J -
Where on earth do you find these sites from Nik?

quote :and will maybe offer credit in the future depending on references etc
David,
The point is we have to apply for credit accounts for our materials but big firms that you will work for will not even mention it. It isn’t until you remind them that they owe you money that they mention they pay on 45 / 60 / or 90 days. It is too late then.
You learn as you go along to ask how they pay 1st, then work out the quote & add some on knowing you will have to wait for payment.

unlike Jem we wouldn’t recommend Lloyd’s TSB to anyone. We had been with TSB for 26 years, then they where taken over by Lloyd’s. That’s when the trouble started. We threatened them that if they didn’t get their finger out we would transfer elsewhere, but they wouldn’t listen, so we moved to HSBC approx 2/3 years ago.
Now we have a listening bank, a business manager who gives us his private number so we can speak to him personally instead of some call centre in India. We also received 2 years free banking.
L J -
Simon,
That sounds brilliant, I bet you enjoyed that. I must remember that one for the future.
I certainly hadn’t thought of doing that even though i have had the chance in the past. 😳
Obviously not quite as devious as you, but i will learn. :lol1:
L J -
I use Eco solvent plus inks, so not much help to you but from what i have picked up from other cadet users some say they always laminate others say they don’t bother, so not much help sorry.
L J -
Hi Becky
Before i can answer your question, what type of ink are you using?
L J -
Quite agree Marek, we usually go for 3-6 weeks & always make the same mistake of calling in at Disneyland 1st, then i have that tune in my head for the rest of the holidays.
Absolutely brilliant place though.
L J -
Marek, Sorry, but you can ask my wife, I always have a go on “It’s a small world” have been 5 times in the last 7 years. 1st time we took my Mother & 13 year old niece. we all loved it & went on again.
Yer I know, Big babies
L J -
I get these calls now & again, they actually get me believing my memory has gone, old age my wife say’s 😳 but as you have been saying when you start asking questions they start off by saying “it was last October when you agreed sir, don’t you remember”
As you ask more questions they start to falter, so the phone goes down.
L J -
Paul, I find that oval & round light boxes (Bust stop) are very expensive compered with the run of the mill type.
I have used 2 or 3 different firms that make them, but haven’t been very happy with any of them for one reason or another. But must admit i haven’t used Circlit before.
Would be interested in your opinion of the workmanship when you get one though.
good luck,
L J -
Hello John, long time no see, how are you mate, have you got your new bike now?

Nik, no it wasn’t a virus as 2 others tried to log on with my details & it didn’t work.
Lynn, it was Mort who replied for me yesterday about the font i am still after Artcraft Bold.
Shane, I am to old to be burning the midnight oil, or too wise now.
Jill, yeeeer right.
L J
Rob, I wish, also can i have my 485 posts back please, i don’t like being a virgin. Ta
