    Thanks everyone.

It is a real buzz to have an industry mag recognize your efforts. Can not stop re reading the article tho… got nothing done yesterday 😛 It has only taken 12 years to be an overnight success!! 😮

Marek, it is school holidays here at the mo, and my son can’t wait to take the article for ‘show and tell’. 😮

I know what you say DaveRowland. But I am not suprised in a way, because those regulars that support this site, offering help and support, are in my mind, who the industry should be writing about. :lol1: It has got to be a positive for our industry as a whole. I dare say, those here that a happy to offer help are probably no different in their local communities.

I’d love to see articles about a lot of people here, I think it would make an interesting read 🙂

Thanks again. I appreciate all your support.

    Thanks again eveyone.

Lynn, I have had a good/bad relationship with the publisher for some time, although I respect him tremendously. I have been very critical of some aspects of the sign industry over the years (hard to believe I know) and we have had some heated discussions over time, but he is very professional, and it has apparently not tainted his overall opinion of my situation, for which I am grateful.

He seeks opinion on industry direction from time to time, and I don’t usually hold back (again – hard to believe)

In answer to the question, he is a subscriber to my newsletter, and that raised his interest, late last year. The article is basically something he has gleaned from various articles I have written, as well as a few questions via email to clarify a few things, and getting my thoughts on some matters. I have subscribers (including other sign shops) all over the world, and as well as you wonderful people here, I have a good opportunity to see and hear what others feel about a lot of subject matter. I always like an open discussion as I think it important that we see each others point of view. He apparently feels the same way.

Scozzie, call me mate, I have a full fortnight, but will change things around if we can get to meet.

I am a bit surprised that you guys would be interested enough to read it, so I’ll certainly try and get a pdf if you want to – thanks for that.

Peter, I am still smiling :lol1: Especially since it was an unsolicited article, it is nice to know that the stuff we do that has little reward financially, does get noticed at some point, by your peers.

    Thanks again

    😳 thanks marek and john.

I don’t know what I was doing in the photo of me holding the banner, but I was a bit uncomfortable with all the fuss to be honest. Didn’t know I was pulling a face, forcing a smile.

The CEO saw the article yesterday and sent me a lovely email that I very much appreciated. She is a really nice lady.

Had a call from a company that advises small businesses on ‘community consciousness’ last night, want to do an article on me as a result of this magazine.

Guess I just have to wait for the movie to come out now. I wonder if Mel Gibson is available to play the lead…….

😎 I’ll be available for autographs this weekend 😮

A fascinating and interesting article. And to think we had to “tease it” out of you.

You’re too modest by far and a good honest citizen Shane 😀

If there were more people like you in this world – it would be a much better place 😀

😳 Thanks my friend…now I am really quiet embarrased 😳 😳 . I have been accused of having ‘other’ motives by some here in oz. Given up trying to convince them otherwise. I really appreciate the response here because I was starting to think I was a freak 😮

Thanks Nik & Carrie for your comments too.
