Hi Matthew, how have you got on with the LG media? Any reports of the vinyl lifting from your customers since you have moved over to LG?

Thank you for your reply Chris. We have only been allowing 24 hours for the gassing off process. We have been having a few issues with the wall stickers that we have been making curling from the outer edges on some of the stickers that contain darker colours. It maybe that we have not been allowing longer enough for the inks to gas off fully. We will now try 48 hrs and see how we get on. Thanks again.

Help needed please?I’m using the same inks and vinyl and have printed many similar designs without problem. Now that it has turned colder in the studio maybe I need to turn the heater up a little. What temperature settings do you normally use?

quote Chris Connor:I tend to tape 1220 using 2 strips of 610 and it works fine, just pull it out past the graphic and tack it to the table, the tension of the roll will help to hold it up off the graphic and A little tape will secure it to the table.
Thank you Chris.
We did not know that you could tape up large 1220mm wise graphics with two strips of 610mm – we have been attempting to use 1220 which can be difficult when you are by yourself. Do you overlap the tape? Does this cause any problems? Would love to see a picture of the next one that you do. Do you use paper tape or clear tape? Thanks again Chris. -
Thank you for your reply Chris. Are you successful in laying down 1220 wide application tape using this bench roller? Can you do it by yourself? What is your technique?

Hi Alex,
Thank you for your reply.
We make and send out our wall stickers for our customers to install, we don’t do the installations ourselves.
We are even struggling to roll it up for posting, it just looks awful.

I never roll larger decals on a core, too small, let them loosely unroll to naturally fill a 150mm sq box, like that the vinyl comes in..Thank you for your reply.
We are struggling getting the application tape to apply to the backing paper before we attempt to roll. Didn’t know if you guys are using a high tac tape on frosted vinyl.

Hi Chris,
Thank you so much for your reply.
So you print and cut, then leave for the ink to dry (24 hours? -how long do you leave it?) then you will weed and immediately apply the application transfer tape?If I have weeded and then not applied the transfer tape for sometime then I could experience problems withe the vinyl lifting?
Thank you again for your help, most appreciated.

Derek, When using 1220 tape by yourself and you say that you use a steel rule what do you mean?
Are any of you guys using or have used one of these manual applicator machines? Are they any good?
