Thanks Graham, I normally just email Tony who up until recently has been very helpful, perhaps there’s someone else that will help. V4 is the latest edition I think, so what have you upgraded to?

    regards

thanks Martin, I didn’t want to have to back it with white as some of the things I do I send through the mail so it’s not really acceptable (as far as I’m concerned) to have the end user fit the white back. Take your point though if I was fitting it myself then that would be the way to go. cheers

    Hi Martin
I know this is an old post but I was wanting to ask you a vinylmaster question after talking/writing to you about it a while back which inspired me to purchase the software.

I’m really struggling to export pdfs and use them in onyx. Everything seems to look great after I’ve exported it in the preview you get but when I import it in to onyx it seems to come through all muted colours. I don’t understand what i’m doing wrong, I’ve experimented with saving as a pdf using cmyk, spot colours etc, but am now scratching my head somewhat.

I’m hoping you may be able to throw some much needed light on the problem!

thanks in advance if you have any suggestions

    kind regards
    simon

Alan, I’ve been on the guys at future corp who make vinyl master and this month they are starting a further payment option, 147 dollars a month for 12 months ( or something like that) which seems a good option for me!

Hi Brian, thanks for that, It certainly seems a fantastic bit of software with loads of features, I’ve ordered the trial version so will be checking it out shortly. Thinking the expert version might be the one to go for, becauase I’m inevitably going to want my software to handle print and cut which pro doesn’t do. Cheers…

    hi brian
thanks for that info, yeah I’m pretty fed up with it, you can’t even do drop shadows with it! but can’t afford signlab at the moment. I will look into that software you recommend. Thank you very much, best regards, Simon

yeah, if you’re putting down wet, I’ve recently discovered rapid tac and the results are far superior than using soapy water. You are also able to remove the application tape far quicker. Cheers
