Importing pdfs in to Vinly Master

Hi
Is anyone else having issues importing pdfs in to vinyl master. I have VMX v4. Whilst most pdfs import, they sometimes don’t import in their entireity. Ie there may be parts of a logo missing or certain blocks of colour. Very frustrating. Support now seems non existent with the providers, since having a couple of issues with them regarding bugs. So any help or comments would be appreciated. Tempted to say, I should have opted for Signlab, but the UI of VM on the whole works very well. Cheers, Simon

I would open a ticket, with the VM support, I am sure they will be able to assist you with this issue, could be something very simple, I upgraded from v4 about six months ago, so can’t even try it to assist you.

Thanks Graham, I normally just email Tony who up until recently has been very helpful, perhaps there’s someone else that will help. V4 is the latest edition I think, so what have you upgraded to?

ah, i didn’t realise they’d upgraded it since april.. trying to get in contact with them now..

Please have a look to see if you have selected auto updates, or you have to manually check them from time to time

I’ve never had any problems importing PDF’s but as Graham has said probably best to ask them for help.

Received an update message from Vinyl master today, they have just released an up date to import PDFs into vinyl master, this could be the solution you were looking for

Graham, how many updates have you had & where are they coming from? I can’t see any updates on the support site & haven’t had any email notifications about any.

Martin, I have had a couple of updates, vinyl master posted an update alert on their Facebook page this morning to do with PDFs which I thought was too much of a coincidence given the posts on here, and the potential ticket raising the issue.

Graham, I haven’t had any at all, checked again & nothing since the initial install in April. Don’t really use facebook so that is why I won’t have seen that. On the support site there are no updates for version 4 at all that I can see.
Have got the auto update on & it always says it’s checking for updates when starting up.

Martin, I probably has updated, if you have auto updates on, I just thought I was a bit strange when this issue regarding PDFs was raised and then a couple of days laters a fix was non ounces on Facebook, if you have Facebook search for this under vinyl master, and you will see what I am banging on about, anyway hope you are well and keeping busy.
