Have solved the mystery of the METRO WASTE font, but could still use some help with the ‘wait ”n” load service text please.
Many thanks,

It looks like Script Bold to me Cheryl
(Signlab font)
Nick

Superb!!
Thanks Kev for putting a name to this one.
It was doing my head in.
Nick.

Thanks for your help everyone, it’s much appreciated.
It’s for an estate agent, and their boards have a regular and bold version of the same font on them, so I’m pretty sure it’s a proper font and not custom.
Really frustrating not knowing, but it must be a vague one if none of the experts on here can name it.
I have used sometihng similar for now, and hope we don’t get pulled up on it.
Would love to know what it is though, just for my piece of mind :banghead:
Thanks for all the suggestions.

Does anyone have any idea on this PLEASE.

Thank you both for your input, it is much appredciated.
I tried Colenso befroe I posted this thread and they couldn’t match what we’re paying now, and Amari’s Black Mask was something we used to use, until they changed the sizes we could have.
I’ll keep looking.
Thanks again,
Nick -
Brilliant!!!
Thanks Jamie.

Thank you Gents.
It is actually a real font called Merpati Putih.
Agree that it’s ugly though.
Nick.
-
It looks like one of the ‘Meta’ family George.
I only have Meta Bold but if there is a Meta Black, I think it’ll be pretty close.
Nick
-
Spot on!
Thank you very much OTTO.

MemberJuly 4, 2011 at 2:37 pm in reply to: Advice on re-installing Signlab fonts please? Thanks Peter.
I did as you suggested and the fonts are now all present without the need for the disc to be inserted, although they are not in their individual folders, Sans Serif, Serif Roman, Fancy, etc etc.
Nick.

MemberJune 14, 2011 at 2:14 pm in reply to: Advice on re-installing Signlab fonts please?Hi Peter. I dragged and dropped, but not to the right location by the looks of things.
If i don’t have the disc inserted it won’t pick up certain VEF fonts present in a certain file even though i can select the same font from the text window

It’s for an Estate agent called Knight Frank.
Thanks for your efforts so far.

Happy New Year all.

Thank you very much Harry and Jamie, it is greatly appreciated.
I was out on site Friday afternoon and have just seen your replies.
Richard. I will try and title my threads better in future,- but i did state that it was the larger text that i was looking for an ID on in the original post.
Nick

Please, please, has anyone got a clue to this one.

Thanks for all the help everyone.
I have been told by the original designer that it’s a font called KIDPRINT, but when i looked that up, it’s nothing like what i have been given.
Very strange.
Think i’ll have to tell them i’ll have to go with something close.
Thanks again, it’s much appreciated.
Nick
-
Any ideas please?
Being hassled now. 😕
Many thanks
Nick -
Thanks for the replies Gents, i very much appreciate your efforts.
I have now solved the problem. It does involve starting the printer in Maintenance Mode, but not quite as instructed.
I’ve signed up for a technical phone support contract who talked me through the procedure.
£60 for unlimted technical phone help for a year. Pretty good IMO.
Thanks again
Nick -
Thanks for the reply, i Googled it and saw that also.
I tried it, but nothing happens.
Nick.
-
It would be for printing.
This was done in Illustrator 9 using the Transparency option.
If i import it back into Signlab it looks the same(ish) but each segment of the circles are separate objects.
I just wondered if SL can save the time of using Illustrator first.
-
Hi Peter.
Here is the sort of thing i’m after. I know i could overlay the objects in signlab, weld them, then colour each portion separately, but i don’t think that would give an accurate representation of transparency.
If you have any suggestions they’d be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Nick -
Thank you both very much.
Brands of the World will prove invaluable.
Best wishes,
Nick -
Many thanks James, much appreciated

Hi Peter. How do you do that if i may ask.
Nick.
-
Thanks John,- that’s superb.
Have a good weekend
Nick
-
Thanks Rob, i did try that and nothing was even close.
I think it’s been edited, but can’t place the original font either.
Re-creating it would be simple if i had the right font to start with.

MemberFebruary 5, 2008 at 10:46 am in reply to: does anyone else have cropping images in Signlab 7.1?Thanks Peter. I used to use the trick of selecting the circle tool, drawing a circle and then switching to the square one, but even this doesn’t work now. I tried it the normal way a little while ago, and it was fine. I guess it’s
just one of those little Signlab quirks that we all love. 🙄 -
Hi Cheryl, thanks, but i haven’t got either of those fonts, and have a lot of text to type.
Thanks,
Nick -
-
Hope this is ok

Thanks Nick and James.
Monotype Corsiva is spot on.
You truly are a master of the font Nick.
