    yeah see what your saying peter! i friend of mine has seen a company that do a machine in wales, something do to with roland i think?!?!? he doesn’t know much about it though! just woundered if anyone had one or new of where i can get some info. jusy totally going off the topic do you now what day you guys and gals are meeting at sign uk, i read the post(can’t find it now) which rob posted and i know it was 1 o’clock at the europoint stand yeah? just need to know the date so i can look into booking my flight etc

    eraser head (made in the early seventies) not so much horror but actually mess’s with your mind! i’ve watched most horror films, i love em! but eraser head i will never ever watch again, i’m 31 and it gives my the creeps just thinking about it!!!

    Hi peter, i buy them in from a company now but only buy certain keyrings i.e motor sport related ones and thought it maybe easier and cheaper in the long run to buy a machine myself. i have no idea what money is involved though. also means i can do other keyrings and offer a wider service

    cheers marek, just noticed in some of your posts you mentioned you had an edge so thought you might has some ideas! everyone has been more than helpfull on the forum “thanks everyone” hopefully ian can do something with it! all the lpi and halftone settings i’ve used have not had the same effect as the origanal. thanks for your reply anyway.

    had a look, interesting site. doesn’t solve the fade though. everything else on the file i can do, no problems! just this darn fade!! its like a solid black at the top and comes down soooooooo fine, no big spots or anything! whoever did this must be good, because nic, stevo(thanks both) myself, the tech guys at spandex have all had a go without the same results!!!!!!!!!! this can’t be impossable?!?!!?! this was made on an edge fx(was told this) so i know it can be done!!! looks like i’m going to have to give up the order at this rate!!

    just noticed that you said you use an edge and omega. did you see the post i pu up a few days ago? having a problem with a gerber/omega file. if you have a look at the post you’ll see what i’m on about. had some of the guys on here have a go at the file but can’t get the thing right so far!!! any tips would be great if you could have a look at the link mate. sorry to hi jack this link!!!!!!!!!!

    cheers peter, easy jet make a fortune out of me as i’m back over to the uk often! moved to spain last year. yes it would be good to meet up with all you guys and gals, looking for a wide format printer in the near futur also so would be good to see some in action.

    peter, concerning the lpi and halftone settings, what in your knowledge would be the nearest settings to the origanal pic off the top of your head, if thats not an impossable question!!!!!!!!!!!! 😕

    hi pete the order is for 1000 with a repeat on this order regulary so its pretty important to get it as close to the pic as poss!

    cheers ian, i’ll try it. i’ve tried lots of different halftones and they never look the same as the origanal, which i know was made using an edge fx which i have! just don’t understand why i cant get the same results!!!!! thanks anyways, i’ll have a look at the link.

    just a quick question please rob, i’m thinking of coming over to the uk for the sign show, is there alot their? i mean are their lots of stands or is it quite a small affair? would be nipping over for a few days and am just woundering if its worth it. would be interesting though i think.

    hi marko, wow smoke clouds!!!!!!!!! 😕 mine is just reading fan error at the moment, but means the machine won’t function at all unless i switch it off and then back on again!! so not sure if its the fan or something else?? i’m going to try cleaning the fan area so hopefully that’ll work! 8€ is good for a fan!!

    hi tim, its on a stand of sorts!! its one of the big plastic stands for tools you stick in your garage, ones you find in b & q. it has cut outs underneath so theirs plenty of ventelation. it did it a few times last year but these past few months its been getting more and more common!

    hi mart, i have an edge fx. basically i need to add a shade and i can not get it right. i have tried alot of different settings etc, much time, material wasted!!!!! i have a sticker here that has been done on an edge and the client wants me to do it, i think an fx also. he isn’t in contact with the guy anymore so can’t get him to do them again. the shade is very well done on the sticker and i have no idea how he did it!!

    cheers rob, yes i have been onto that site and will post up a request their also, its just one of those jobs thats frustrating when you can’t get the end result right!! its a new machine and software package for me so i”ve alot to learn with it!! great site mate.
