I have it and KIN LOVE IT! cant fault it at the mo, the only thing there aint many profiles for it yet.
-
no its for exhibition graphics and they insist they must be that size to fit the spaces, i asked amari and they said no?
-
normally they email me with the cost first, this time the stuff just arrived on my door step, i never even gave them the go ahead but as i used them before i stupidly passed the graphics on to my customer thinking everything would be ok till i got the bill, i have argued with them about it and they refuse to budge, im just sorry i have helped them out in the past, i think i know what its about, i am mates with somebody they sacked recently but im not sure why they have the hump with me but balls (politest way i can put it) to them they have lost out on a printer sale now as i have ordered mine from elsewhere.

i love that sandy gulls font, what is it?

if you follow the horizon and NONE of the contours of the van it never looks right, especially if you are talking about the last 2 shapes of astra van.
-
go with the vehicle contours all day long, after all you are putting it on the vehicle not the horizon!

MemberAugust 12, 2008 at 8:53 pm in reply to: what are peoples opinions of the Jac Serisign Vinyl?I switched to serisign after using LG that seems to have become very crap to weed even after changing blades and setting and also failed on a black van even on a flat panel! now i have made the jump to avery 700 and what a difference! I was a bit unsure with the serisign but you can tell the avery stuff is way out of its league, ok you have to pay £1.50 instead of £1 but well worth it!
-
yes you are absolutely right peter.
-
well thanks for all your comments, they have made me feel allot better! i was pooing myself about paying out thousands that i aint got but you have made me see a bit more light, thanks for that! you live and learn.
-
to add to it i done it for FREE in the hope to get more work from it and to have my logo on it!

the car is about 2 years old, they are a prestigious car hire company and they want to advertise the fact that you could have your name plastered all over the car so they just wanted it for a photo shoot but left the graphics on for about a month and i only had 7 year vinyl in stock but though it would be fine and told them so.

MemberJune 10, 2008 at 8:53 am in reply to: how would i bend the vinyl around a motorcycle?yeah you do have to be a bit careful cutting, just try to score it lightly with a new blade (only 10a blades) dont use the cowboy snap off blades and it should be fine.

MemberJune 9, 2008 at 9:50 pm in reply to: how would i bend the vinyl around a motorcycle?hi mate i have done quite a few of these as im into bikes and the best way i have found is just to cut a big chunk of vinyl and work from the middle like you are wrapping a football, then get somebody to pull slightly on the edges as you work your way out stretching the vinyl with a little heat, it takes some practice but it the only way really and to cut to shape after, the oracle cast you are using will be fine for it.

respect to you steve for what you are saying, harry how can you say graffiti is boring? there are millions of different styles of graffiti and saying use off colour is lacking in depth etc you have been looking at the wrong stuff! and as an artist yourself i think its sad that you can see the tallent in others, as for banksy wether you think his stuff is good or not, his peices are worth hundreds of thousands, what are yours worth?
-
its by a german artist called daim and yes i agree that taggin and throw-ups give graf a bad name but if you cant stand back and admire the skill and talent that goes into a proper piece you need your eyes testing!

Well there must be truth in what you say as you all seem to agree, i suppose there must be some rules otherwise it just starts looking like a mess! I dont really think about the rules i suppose i just know what looks right and what looks wrong. (I hope!) As for that van yes it looks a right mess but that is just taggin and not a piece.

MemberFebruary 21, 2008 at 10:20 pm in reply to: can somebody tell me whats the best 7 year vinyl? The Lg stuff takes for ever to weed as you have to hold down each letter cos they come up. i even put in a new blade and had it cutting so hard it nearly came through the backing and still the letters come up when you weed. its not to bad to work with apart from that but ive had enough! i changed to Jac but wanted to know if there are any better and for what price?
