Little bit early yet Peter was only shipping last week, not many people have it. John was one of the 1st.

Hi,
There are some nice features on it… Gimp is good for a bit of photo editing, only had it 4 days so will let you know more when I get used to it.
Cheers

Thank you Nick – very quick response
Next question – Ive installed Signlab all working fine – problem being with this Visual Production Manager – when try opeing its says cant find the Dongle – waiting on Brian to come to me but hasn’t returned call as of yet –
Also does anyone run the Grenadier 2 on Signlab if so can they tell us how as Cadlink couldn’tColin
-
Colin, did you have the dongle in when you installed sl8?
Peter
-
I installed with my dongle in, on my main computer, everything was fine and then I installed signlab on my lap top without it and put the dongle in after, but signlab could not find it.
so I thought maybe you had installed without the dongle Is it only vpm that want work?
perhaps cadlink have made a mistake on the license files?Peter
-
That right Peter – Signlab works fine – but as to VPM it does ask for the licence – Looks like i have to wait for Brian to ring
-
Just spoke to Brian- apparently i have a parallel dongle not usb cadlink only found this out 2 days ago – cadlink will send me one for free – i will find out shortly

man thats depressing! i just upgraded to 7.1! where can i upgrade to 8?
-
I dont think deals are being given, not for upgrade anyway,
its a fixed price £250 from sl 7.1 print and cut
are you wanting to upgrade, or buy outright?
Brian at Impact is as good as any to deal with, and will tell you all the options available,Peter

Same here! Thought I was up to date!
Great thing about 7.1 is the ability to send pdf’s to folk
It’s a blessing! -
yes mate very true, but i have now upgraded to 8 and its even better! loads of tools for editing bitmaps and stuff. There is no better than signlab!
-
I was gutted when I upgraded to V7 as 2 weeks later the 7.1 version was released. No favours from Cadlink though. If the supplier had mentioned the new one was out in 2 weeks I would have waited. Bit of a con at the time.
John, I’ve been sending PDF’s from Signlab well before V7.1.
Just select print, then choose PDF as the printer.
