    Hi Guys,
I’ve been looking up all the companies you mentioned as I had not heard of some of them before. I’ve decided to start out with paypal virtual terminal…. I didnt even know paypal had this service even though I already have an account with them. (Thanks Mo for the info!) I like that its relatively cheap, easy to set up, I dont need to rent any equipment and there is no contract.

Thanks to everyone for your help.

    John.

Thanks Guys, will try the people in portadown for a price.
Harry – I just buy the cartridges from ‘cartridge world’ in ballina (i’m sure they have a branch near you too)…. its €85 each for colour cartridges and €105 for black. Refills are about €50 each. Price include VAT.

    Cheers,
    John.

Thanks for your reply Dave – I need this cutter to cut 3mm dibond / aluminium compostite & 1.2mm aluminium in one pass… so the Javelin wont be suitable. I need an excalibur 3000 or better. I read a post somewhere that you’re moving to cape clear… hope it goes well for you mate… I’ve never been to the island but I hear good things!
    Thanks again, John.

Thanks everyone for your help. I’m going to look into getting a debt collector to sort out my longest overdue accounts and am changing to a 50/50 system from monday. it’ll be interesting to see if business slows down any as a result (hopefully not!). I’m confident now that this is the right decision, at least i’ll be sure that i’m getting paid for all the work i do. Thanks again… John.

thanks dan, thats the kind of thing i’m hoping to hear. i’m sure it’d be a lot easier to run my business without chasing credit customers. do you find it has freed up more time for you? also is it a good idea to only provide artwork / proofs after a deposit has been paid?

Thanks for your quick response guys. i think i’ll get the polyproplyene as i already have an acount with access and they’ve quoted me €80 for a 10×5 sheet which is the size of the bench. When this sheet comes to the end of its life i’ll try the toughened glass next and decide then what suits my business best. Really appreciate all your help, Thanks Again!

I should add – the letters are made from 19mm foamex and have no channels routed into the backs as he was not interested in LEDs at the time of manufacture. Each letter is approx 10" high and as I said its a pretty thin stem on the font used (15-20mm).
