Morning everyone……I’m still having problems with my Roland not plotting properly…..I’ve taken some photos to show what the text is like.

Any ideas?? I know the cutting depth is too deep, but I’d just changed the blade to see if that made a difference.
But it’s the actual cutting that seem off.

Any suggestions??

I know it sounds really lazy me asking for the file………it’s one of those jobs that has just been dumped on my desk needed within the next 18hours, on top of a film crew coming around tomorrow morning, which is bang on the same time I am due to relocate my workshop (thanks very much BIG BOSS!!!)…..not to mention the 8 other projects which all need to be completed by Friday…….so I confess I was completely on the blag…..hoping that someone would have something on file…….but yes it looks like I will have to go along the lines of what you said.

Thanks for your response – that is exactly what I did first thing this morning, but I am having problems with my software whilst trying to re-drawn it, each time I try to scan the image my program crashes!!!

I wouldn’t mind if it was a really complex image – but my computer should be able to cope with an image as basic as this!!!

I think my computer is in weekend mode already!!!

I’ve just given them a call, and they only do 1 size of panel in the Ecoflex range which is the ‘sort of’ style I am after and that is just under 800mm in height.

I designed the image in CorelDraw – saved it as a cdr file, then when I open it in Corel PhotoPaint that is when the boxes change colour.

Thanks for your response……I think you are right it might be worth ringing them direct to see what the guidelines are for using their logo.

Just for reference…..the logo which I have been asked to produce can be found on the link below, this logo would go on various sticker which will have environmental statements like….switching your computer off as night will save etc etc.

I have been wrapping the panels – the same as you Ian, but I have got hundreds of A4 size signs in 1mm!!!!! It is taking FOREVER!!!!!!!!

Peter – If this was a regular project yes I would increase the price of advertising…….but on this occasion we aren’t selling the advertising space – it is an environmental project – we will be promoting ‘Green Issues’ so that is why we are trying to keep the costs low!

I have managed to find one company that can do a silver anodised snap frame for £4 – I have ordered one to check the quality, if it gets the thumbs up I will post the details of the company in-case anyone else wants to use them.

As for CorelDraw – it is version 12. I was OK converting the A4 poster, but the pack – because it was 11 pages – it wouldn’t let me copy 1 page at a time.
