graphtec ? ok how much are we talking and were from

how ever i would expect [call me crazy if u like] letters in cappitals 5 inch high all to be 5 inch high wether rounded tops or straight the higher point on wat ever letter should be 5 inch
for example i did some 18 inch letters it did all well and in cappitals i was so chuffed it had done them put them up and it looked funny the 4 letter in to the end were gradually getting bigger the end result was 19.3 inch letter at end and 18 inch at start
i think thats a bit off
how ever i was watching it cut today and i think the right hand base roller is moving slightly quicker than left but any way thanks for ur advice and i will be getting something new or used this week end so any hints were to get would be greatly appreciated
but budget is limited to 900 loans are out of question im afraid

    philk

it really is a good cheapish machine
if the after sales service was up to scratch then this would be a perfect alrounder

im sure the errors im getting are either a fault to over use of machine or a fault in how im doing it

hi its not a case of i cant get hold of him
i emailed 2 nights ago saying i wanted to buy a new machine he emails back with wat must be his standard message saying please fone
so yesterday morning i go out of my way to fone before i plod of to work
he gets a customer in so asks if he can fone back takes house and mobile number as said was of to work
asked how long he said 2 -3 hours and guess wat im still fricken waiting

just like when i say i have problem with machine he says ill fone back and does till he doesnt now an answer then he just gives up and doesnt fone

how ever i do like the machines easy to use when they work and apart from the long words cutting squint and say i cut a a 6 letter word at list the forth letter is bigger than the rest

but at least haveing dealt with him i know i will get my prchase were as the king cut guy i dont no
and with all ebay purchases im a bit cautious hence asking if any 1 new sign wizard uk

me again bet your all sick of me

today we cut and drew several more of these bloody dragons none worked so tried 2 other types one failed and 1 worked

the 1 worked was the same as the one weve been trying to do except its the inners as i call it this one is no use to us as has no lines holding it together just the blocks like u filled in the colour of the other dragon .if thast makes sence

how ever with this one working i really dont understand why the others dont

would a new or different type of cutter be any different

lj can u email me the flexisign image u mentioned to loadsofstikas@aol.com got to get this sorted by thursday got a car coming in for them

never thought they would be this hard to do

does any one have any other dragons that may work the customer might opt for them in stead

al these u say will cut fine end up not cutting in my shop

all i do is import the ai image to flexisign stretch it to size by dragging the edges then press cut button
it then goes to cutter and cuts then it just decides to add lines

now when import it i cant see any lines that shouldnt be there
so i just dont understand it i really dont

simon c cheers but thats the one with 5 legs

ive done a few more attempts today turning out costly lol

ok first one cut head then front paw then went and drew a straightline down the vinyl

second 1 cut the entire body perfect except a line near tail cutting back through the top of the boidyslightly
then the cutting finneshed and it missed out the head all to gether

the first was dragon 3 that i did through flexisign
the second was dragon 3 wich i did through flexisign and welded it

Also, I’d convert all beziers to arcs. Sometime enlarging a file that has beziers, will thro a spike in the graphic, resulting in a cut tine.
didnt follow that bit sorry were are bexxiers and how do u convert them

1, how do see the lines that shouldntbe there when i use corel 11 it looks fine even in wire cut

2, ive welded the image file in eps in my cutter program called artcut i even used flexisign 7.5 today that failed to

3, tidying up is there some sort of help file to get me started on this

4,ive took it in to corel and exported the image and the wire frame aseps then imported to artcut and flexisign
out of 7 cuts i got 1 at 80 cm long to work but when i tried to do it a second time it failed

5, cokka wat did u use to cut it and how big also email addy is (mod-edit)

6,lj i didnt design it mate it was here in the swaps section a few weeks ago

    7, simon c how do u remove a layer in corel ?

8,carrie wat is this rip thing seen somet about it when i was looking at printers but not heard it on cutters were do i get one and wat does it do

9,lj the eps i posted mate no ai

hi ti runs at speed 50 ill try slowing it down

    my name is ian ,lynn.

ill see if i cant knock up a standif no ill buy one soon

as for me it could be me but pretty sure i line em em damn close to straight but may be not

why a 48 inch cutter cause we want to do car side graphics more than any thing else and just seems easier to get the bigger one as some of the folk have asked for wider than 600 cm saves joining as ive never tried joining but i bet its a bugger to do

4 meter cut just seemed ideal as it would get his hole words in 1 go
as for splitting up the words this is wat i did yesterday eventually
but the weird bit there supposed to be 18inch letters high and thay came out well i was doing the word kessock and the k was perfect then e was ok and s came out angled a bit then s was 1/4 inch bigger then rest cut perfect just a 1/4 inch bigger

how much do u charge for an 18 inch high letter?

hi its a creation pcut 610/630
its about 7 months old bought from flyn signs via ebayit was bought as a new machine instead of getting one of these little 12 inch stikas machines

will give it a good clean tommorrow see if that helps got me first big order to do and its dragged off the page so ruined 4 meters today and and an hours work

was going to upgrade to 1220 machine as soonas i can afford one

but its a bugger it wont stay straight

i dont have the stand but would it makethat much difference i have a rooller type thingat back for the vinyl roll and i use rolls of 5 meters up to 20 meters

the 3 dragons are the one im talking about except they had 5 legs and a kind gentle man here posted one with 4 legs this is the one ive been useing

the fault was caused near its tail first time and tounge second time

today i cut it a metwer long with flexi sign 7.5 and it cut perfectly
    yet in artcut it dont

i need this bigger 1.5 meters to 2 meters long so will play with flex sign tommorrow as ive never used it till today as like artcuts simplicity
