Our answer to any calls like this is simple. We say to them you give us the work and we will pay you once we have completed it as you dont go into asda and pay for the goods then go back when you need them :lol1:
They soon retract there offer and dont bother us again.

    hi Peter
We take payment by debit and credit card as well as cardholder not present (for phone and email orders).
Since offering this what we have noticed is that most customers prefer it and it saves us on paperwork .
The other plus is when they confirm order we can take a deposit or full payment straight away especially no account customers as almost everyone has a some "plastic" on them.
Down side is the transaction charges by the banks but we have a notice up saying that a % charge will be made for using chip and pin up to now we have only had one or two comments .
Your comment on it becoming a cash free society is totally correct and before we know it we will be paying via thumb print from our accounts for all purchases at least we wont lose the loose change to the wife’s hidden money jar or in the street on the way home from the pub πŸ˜€

BTC all the way service and price are really good, they also supplier xpress film and lots more.
Another company we use is Ralawise they are good but delivery a bit dearer for before 12 delivery.
As for a heat press I would look at rental to start and see how it takes off ,you can rent them cheaply from target transfers and a couple of others for about Β£16 a week and there no long term commitment either .
    Hope that helps

    Hi
If your on about Hp printers have a chat to Jill from William Smiths, the hp8000s is really good but she will explain more and can arrange a demo for you.
One thing I will say is only get one if your getting the work in for it otherwise sub the work out and take your cut as it may sound good to buy a printer but what money are you going to get from it

March 31, 2010 at 11:19 pm in reply to: Are vans restricted to 50mph?

Hope this will help clarify a couple of things as far as speed limits go for vans as I am a DSA registered driving instructor alongside running sign company and get asked this question a lot.
Firstly a citroen dispatch has a gross vehicle weight(laden of 2.917kg) so even if empty comes under the ”2ton” rule”’
It’s always been possible to drive vans under 3.5t on a standard car licence – and consequently many van drivers assume that the same rules and speed limits apply to them as when they are driving a car.

    Unfortunately, that’s not true.

Car speed limits only apply to vans of under 2 tonnes maximum laden weight – meaning that any Transit-sized van is excluded.

Instead, a separate set of speed limits apply; for vehicles with a maximum laden weight between 2 tonnes and 7.5 tonnes (all Transits, Sprinters, etc.).

Here are the speed limits that apply to Transits and similar vans:

    Single Carriageways: 50mph

    Dual Carriageways: 60mph

    Motorways: 70mph
hope this helps out could go into more detail etc but if unsure best bet stay at the lower of the limit for the road that your on and remember it takes longer for a van to stop than a car

February 24, 2010 at 11:59 pm in reply to: what are peoples thoughts on running a home Business?

WE started off in our garage it lasted about 4 months then the council stepped in and told us to shut down as it was not the type that could be run from a garage due to the increase in vehicle traffic etc.
All the neighbours thought it was great to see someone working as they passed and loved to watch a car etc get signed up but it turned out one neighbour didnt like the idea of someone doing better than them.
It all turned out well we got a small shop just round the corner,ok it costs but it put 2 fingers up at the neighbour that moaned and the others still come and watch the work been done.
So as the others have said keep neighbours sweet and wait to see if council call but dont call them play dumb if they turn up and then have a word with the offical he will guide you for free so saving you money to find out

try tar and glue remover also evostik do a glue remover that really good.plastic blade and loads of elbow grease then give your dad the bill.We just done a transit covered in reflective and once it was eventually done buffed it over with t cut it looked like new .but if you want a machine to do it look on jag they got a machine but it expensive so if it going to be a regular thing maybe worth buying :lol1:
