Hi all, I’m looking some advice from people on the site who do t-shirt printing and their views on it. I’m currently thinking about starting to do this as well as graphics and printing but would like some others one opinions please. I would also like to know what is a good machine to start of with and were do most buy their material. Any help would be brilliant.

    Hi Nicholas,
T shirts are a wide and interesting topic. There are many posts on the forum for screen print, dye sub and flex t shirts. Best to try and get a feel for the type of market and print you want to start with. Different methods suit different needs.

BTC are probably the best known supplier for shirts etc. I use them all the time and they have a great stock and next day delivery so I can recommend them. Have a search on the forum and you will find loads of posts.

    Good luck

Garments – BTC – Great service price and range.

For material we use hexis polyflex its easy to weed, nice to apply due to sticky backing and is durable if appled at the right heat.

If were printing digital we use grafity t-shirt film, and now they have a protective film that goes over the top for longevity.

    hope this helps

BTC all the way service and price are really good, they also supplier xpress film and lots more.
Another company we use is Ralawise they are good but delivery a bit dearer for before 12 delivery.
As for a heat press I would look at rental to start and see how it takes off ,you can rent them cheaply from target transfers and a couple of others for about £16 a week and there no long term commitment either .
    Hope that helps
