About your p cut failing to cut it could be that your cutter needs moved away from the buffer which stops it working when you go to far to the side
you will find one either side of the cutter when the box holding the cutter hits this it disables the cutter. Manually move the cutting box away from the buffer and it should work okay. As you seem to have done all the checks with your pc b,baud rate etc seems ok .So it must be something simple like above as I had the same problem with my pcut .

🙁 Sorry mate VAN looks good .I,M A BRUSH SIGN PAINTER JUST STARTED WITH THE VINYL AND NEW TO SIGN UK I THOUGHT IT WAS A NEW MESSAGE.
One thing I have learnt in sign working you could be the best sign writer of lettering but layout colour and choice of styles of alphabets could make your hard work look bad.Your finished result looks good.

change the black text to white with a grey shadow slightly darker than the silver van should make the lettering cearer.

Can you place the JJP DOORS Ltd at the top of the van, external grp & steel doors below that in 1 line, and the tel number below that .
Enlarge the photo of the door over a larger area of the van and fade the photo like a sort of water mark effect so you can make out what it is but allows legibility of the lettering.

Jill is the kerning of a word the leading ,spacing, when I was taught spacing of text it was called leading from the method used by printers who used lead spacers to seperate text .

Nice sign, you’ve made an old style alphabet look modern.
