Avery Vinyl & The Worlds Largest Beer Can!

Avery Graphics Vinyl Used to Wrap World’s Largest Beer Can

MPI 1007 EZ RS and DOL 1000 Applied by Road Rage Designs to Enormous Novelty Beverage

(Painesville, OH) June 20, 2008 – Avery Dennison Graphics & Reflective Products Division, a leading provider of vinyl and screen print film products for the sign and graphics industry, announced today that its MPI 1007 EZ RS and DOL 1000 products were printed and applied by Road Rage Designs, a wide format graphics provider headquartered in Spring Grove, Ill., to create the World’s Largest Beer Can.

The wrap for the enormous beer can was commissioned by Dave Leach, a Chicago-based collector of world’s largest items. The Avery Graphics MPI 1007 EZ RS was printed with 1970’s Old Style Beer® graphics. Leach chose the Old Style Beer Graphics as a tribute to his father, whose favourite beer is the vintage brew originally manufactured by The G. Heileman Brewing Company, now owned by the Pabst Brewing Company.

“We chose Avery Graphics MPI 1007 EZ RS vinyl for this unique opportunity because it is easy to work with and the over laminate really made the colours in the graphics pop on such a large scale application,” says Kris Harris, vice president of Road Rage Designs.

Joel Ross, marketing communication manager for Avery Dennison Graphics & Reflective Products Division, says, “Our vinyl products are easy to position and easy to remove – they make the perfect wrap for everything from a classic vintage car to the World’s Largest Beer Can.”
