Uniform Textile Printer
To cater for the increase in demand for printing direct to fabrics, B&P Graphic Systems has announced its Uniform Grenadier Textile series of wide- and superwide-format ink-jet printers which can be used with a choice of aqueous-based sublimatic, acid, reactive, disperse or pigmented inks. Ideal for commercial print production and high volume sampling jobs, this machine has been developed especially for printing direct to fabrics and is efficient and easy to operate.
Incorporating piezo-head drop-on-demand technology, the Uniform Grenadier Textile offers a cost-effective high quality solution for printing direct to an extensive range of fabrics, including untreated polyester. The machine features a rotating cylinder which, when heated to 220 degrees C, enables the polymerisation or sublimation process to be carried out on-line, thus eliminating the need for transfer papers and additional heat presses.
The Uniform Grenadier Textile is available in a choice of widths, these being 1.62 m, 1.87 m, 2.23 m and 2.6 m, and can accommodate fabric rolls of up to 70 kg. It has an output resolution of 720 dpi and a maximum speed of 51 square m/hour.
The printer’s ability to be used with textile-related aqueous-based inks means that output is ideal for situations where alternative ink types aren’t suitable. Designed to accommodate the most advanced features to optimise printing direct to textiles, the machine can output in a choice of eight or two x four colours, with special pre-heaters improving colour penetration, allowing for double-sided printing to be performed in a single operation.
Available in a choice of multiple configurations, the Uniform Grenadier Textile has been designed to operate safely and efficiently in normal production environments. Because it can handle longer run lengths, it can be set up to print volume applications without continual user intervention and monitoring.
The Uniform Grenadier Textile is available with an optional bulk ink supply system and ships with Uniform’s TROOP! RIP v6. It also complements the Jeti 3312 and 3324 3.2 m six-colour, 600 dpi dye sublimation models which represent part of the Gandinnovations range of wide- and superwide-format printers, distributed exclusively by B&P in the UK.
This printer joins the extensive Uniform portfolio of machines which includes all ink technologies used in wide-format digital production, plus consumables and software.
