Thanks for the reply – we use the program successfully for simple jobs like artists impressions for property developments but my partner is a professional illustrator and he wants to get some real training preferably in England. Corel cant help- do you have any suggestions. we have some training videos which have helped but would like to go further

Thanks again – we still have a problem with our computers locking with big files – what would you guys recommend as a sensible specification for a busy computer using signlab , corel 11 , and illustrator- we may need to upgrade ! At present we have AMD Athlon xp2500 , 1.83GHZ 480MB ram and are using xp home edition service pack 1 – four workstations which are networked

thank you all for your input its so helpful to be able to talk to people in the same business- one last thing last week we designed full colour A1 posters for screen printing – the film bureau asked for AI files and we were unable to create this – the program kept locking – presumably there are limitations

Thank you Frank – We came up with an answer eventually through trial and error as none of the experts seemed to be able to help- We uninstalled Signlab and then we removed all signlab files within the registry and re installed – everythings back to normal . We used a registry cleaner software package called Clean my Pc and this solved the problem rapidly- its something we downloaded off the internet for £20 good value really !

Hello Ray – they are plt files which we import – we seem to have a number of problems- they come across without showing the colours – perhaps we are not using the correct procedure ? editing is also very difficult . How can we send you a file?

The manuals/videos are all well and good – we’re looking for a ‘user’ who can put the theory into practice, and has the experience to overcome any areas where the training books/videos might not reflect the goings on in a busy studio.
