Thanks. Unsure if I want deal with white inks, dont seem to have many jobs to utilize this feature greatly.. I always do revers lam white for stickers needed white layer, if got some inside of windows print request.. But 700 will be my contender, probably will wait till NEC Sign and digital expo to make decision and get some discounts maybe… I was more wondering about epson R5070 “rasin” printer opinions, especially when it comes to vehicle wrap printing..

What you would charge for wrapping full van like this? I probably undercharge as well.. Metamark MDX 25m in 1370, no roof wrapped. BTW what do you think about MDX?

Its hard job to be honest, very easy to get dirt from seals, many times they also too tight so you need to remove them from vehicle. Saloons are also hard to do, where back window dont lift, very easy to pick dirt. Its very unforgiving job. Highly depends also on client, some don’t mind about martix dots, small specs etc, some will want it as factory tint which in my opinion is impossible.. J&J is tested and you not need tint slime or any other product. I’m not an expert myself but try get more into automotive industry with wraps and tints its high demand in my area, and no lot professional tinters or wrappers and I like it more then doing boards and prints… Look for LLumar UK, Nik is rep I get deal with. Suntek is same film, but dont go for lowest range as its thinner and easier to crease..

LLumar ATR serie. Its same as Suntek I believe but more popular in UK. Much easier to shrink then other brands.. To avoid dust, use rolling technique for back and top loading for sides. Spray water and squeegee it off top to bottom 3 times just before application, use fresh mix J&J baby 2-3 pumps per liter with distillate water – dont use slime… Less drought and movement = cleaner application. Heating is also a key, IR heaters wouldn’t move dust and air. Practice is a key to success here…

    quote Paul Stenning:

I had infrared heating installed a few months ago. My unit’s around 130 square metres and we’ve got five heaters running off a central thermostat that keeps it at a consistent 17 degrees in here. Very pleased with it so far.
We’ve got three exposed walls and very poor insulation. Our electric bill went up about £200/month when we turned the heating on, so it’s not cheap to run but the initial outlay wasn’t too high and I was able to grant towards it.

Thanks for reply. Well, Its only 55sqm atm, and I only want it to heat up like 30sqm, basicly above wrapping car was thinking to buy 2 units, and maybe one controlled separate above working bench. There will be 2 pvc clear dividers / curtains to close down wrap area, just to work around car and ideally during wraps want to keep it warm like 20 degree. Ceiling is just tarpaulin membrane, which will be better sealed and stretched, but landlord is not allowing me to put even some foam boards or other light type of ceiling so it will be loosing some heat by there, and one wall only, brick one, is cold one – thinking to insulate it from outside.. Rest walls are internal, but detailers I share unit with have doors open very often.. It must be enough for start up. Do you have any photos of your workshop? What watts your heaters got?
