I’ve dragged them apart, put them together, cursed and swore at them but they still keep chugging on 🙂 -
Just removed the head from the head carriage and aligned the new head by checking the distance between the two posts at the top of the head, adjusting the spring loaded Allen bolt before tightening the two inner screws up.
Sent the new TEI file to the head through a dos window and everything seems fine except the metallics. -
Thanks Chris, I’ll try Roland tomorrow but don’t hold out a lot of hope though.
Out of interest are you still using yours much now? -
I think the only solution is going to be to remove the head and inspect the sensors although I’ve never had the need to remove mine before as I understand it its not to bad.
I bought a replacement head for mine back in Feb but found that the overlap banding I was getting is common and disappears with laminating,
Do you have a service manual? if not I may be able to help out.
I’m sure Chris has taken the head off a few times and could give you some tips.
Incidentally I’m off to Derby tomorrow to pick another one up that’s not been used for a few years for spares but It maybe to good to strip down especially as I now have a spare new head for it,

I still use one every day for small decals and was tearing my hair out at first.
Are the pinch rollers in the right place as there are only certain areas along the rail that they can be placed otherwise you will get the piece and roll leds flashing.
As you look below the pinch rollers you will see the grit roller but it only has certain areas you can place the pinch rollers above.
(hate trying to explain things, can see it in my head but trying to put it in words).

Found him very helpful until I asked for the voltage settings.
Will email him again this evening.
Many thanksOh btw I’ve managed to change the small roller, only dropped the tiny circlip once and found it instantly, must of been my lucky day.

I am now wondering if they have done the same with me.
There is no voltage sticker on the top of the head, just a blue
sticker with the number 4 on it.I have been in contact and they have sent me the TEI file but will
not answer my mails concerning the head voltage. How do I know if this is a PC600 head?

MemberNovember 8, 2010 at 12:56 pm in reply to: Colorcamm pc 60 foam roller replacementI’ve now found a source for print heads and the small roller that fits to the print head carriage.
The print head is from China and seems to be Roland original although I’m no expert and now-days its hard to tell. The total cost including 4 day shipping came to £390.00
The roller is coming from the states and although only 10 dollars shipping is 45 dollars, so i’ve bought a few.
I don’t think I’m allowed to advertise the suppliers but if you PM me I will reveal all.

It will print fine but just stops on cutting.
I can rip and print or cut, not both.
Sorry this doesn’t help but I can sympathise. -

MemberNovember 2, 2010 at 11:15 pm in reply to: Colorcamm pc 60 foam roller replacementWell I have managed to get a complete new printhead for 607 USD, around 386 sterling delivered from china, supposed to be original but will have to wait to find out. Had no joy with getting the roller though.
I rang Roland UK and was told they have no parts what so ever for the pc 60 and the best thing would be to rob parts from another broken machine.I really don’t want to be putting this new head on yet or robbing it of its new roller but there don’t seem to be any other option.
B.t.w I know its been asked before but has anyone got a copy of the technical manual before I get my multimeter ready.

Hi All, thanks for the warm welcome.
Only starting this part time but realised a while ago that you can’t afford to have all your eggs in one basket so invested some money in this and other ventures, today i’m off to clean some cookers and louvre blinds so there is some variety in my work. You are more than welcome to swap me a nice Graphtec JX2150 for my cab and I’ll throw the drunks in for free.
Now I’ve gotta ask a million how to’s so look out for me on the boards, I will try searches first but please be kind if my questions have been answered before, I promise not to ask about colour banding on the PC-60 though.
