I think it’s most likely the low temperature. I get anyone who insists on poor conditions to sign a disclaimer voiding any warranty. Once you warn them and tell it needs signing most change their mind on poor conditions. I wouldn’t do any wrapping in a none environment controlled area eg heated garage is minimum for wrapping imo
