    quote Levi Summers:

currently advertising with sponsored Yell posts.

Why would you do this, and not Google Adwords?

Yell are brilliant at constantly contacting you, after you take a free listing, saying how much better you’d be if you paid for this or that or blah blah blah. None of it works. Yell are up the poop stream, paddle was lost years ago and the canoe is as holy as the Pope. They’ve been destroyed by the likes of rated people etc directories. They could have done better, but thats another story. It always used to be that you HAD to be in Yell and Thompson, not any more.

As I said, why not Google Adwords? A well set up campaign can target people in just your local area, looking for things that you sell.

If your car or van is sign written, drive it around, park it in Tesco for 3 hours at a time (see local parking restrictions), always wear work wear when out and about.

Above all, it takes time. We’re East Sussex (waving over border), and have had a year struggling, and are now flowing with the signs.

This guy, and his business is massive on YouTube. Something like over a million subs to the channel. The TV show appears to be on the back of this.

I’ve not caught any episodes on TV, but have watched quite a few of his YouTube vids.

I would get rid of the social network logo’s. They are on the van, no need to double them up.

Make your business name bigger. Took me a couple of seconds to see what it was, and if driving past, I wouldn’t have time to work it out.

Don’t worry about email, put name, phone and web address. Email is just a repeat of web address with little bit at front.

Put your name where the 10% off van graphics is, move everything up, and 10% etc at the bottom.

Colour wise I think it looks ok, good bit of contrast going on that can be seen in most lighting conditions :smiles:

Is it going inside the display, as seen in the images, or replacing it?

If replacing. looking at the picture, at that height and angle, if there isn’t something in the way, you’ll have kids putting their arms / fingers up there, and pulling the guts out / getting electrocuted. These type of signs are OK on a wall, out of reach, but I wouldn’t leave it open, at that height, on the side of a road.

I would use Health and Safety as an excuse to do it the way that you want.

    quote James Bateman:

    I’ve tried Gumtree and Ebay.

They’re the 2 lower end, blast it out, selling my dining room business ones. Mainly OK for assets, but useless for ‘the business’ unless your pushing people to your listing (like posting on here, and saying see it on eBay). Have a look at any of the business for sale categories on eBay, then search the ‘completed listings’ and you’ll see very little sells.

However, plotters, vinyl off cuts, tools, presses etc etc sell well. Not mega money, but they sell.

https://uk.businessforsale.com/ is always worth a look, as is https://www.daltonsbusiness.com/

But like David and Denise say, trying to sell a ‘one man band’ is a nightmare. However, it is, as they say, a buyers market. Try marketing as a ‘bolt on’ business if you can, and contact other businesses in the area, who do similar, who may be interested in expanding into a different area.
