When you consider that Eco-Sol is alcohol based and all othe rinks are solvent based but the amount of solvent is the only question in the mix.
All MILD solvent inks B & P, Lyson,Roland, etc, will scratch on prints, the sacrifice is how many print heads you want to pay for to be able to use agressive inks to print with. -
seh manufacture network parallel port connection devices for Roland and various others. IF you have installed sp2 on xp then maybe you need to download a sentinel device driver for xp. (rainbow.com) seh have a free download software to search our network devices.

As far as i am aware the HP inks with HP media’s are your only chance but i think you are on a sticky wicket.

the ink tubes often crack either on the needle join or further down the ink line. The ink lines are available to replace as a whole or a needle repair kit is also available.
If the ink is just stopping mid print then when you fill up the ink cartridge fill up with 30 ml rather than the 20 ml recommended.
