Can anyone identify this sign system?
Posted by Rebecca Dack on January 30, 2018 at 11:36 amHi,
We’re having trouble identifying this panel and post sign system and after exhausting all the usual routes, I thought I’d ask on here. Can anyone help?
many thanks in advance

hi
Thanks for the reply. Yes, have tried Ashby, Spandex and a like.
Does anyone recognise the end caps?
We wondered whether it might be a modulex system but not getting much luck in identifying. -
I only learnt last week Nova Aluminium Systems does a system like this. Might be worth a call.

Hi Rebecca, we have been a converter for many sign systems over the last 30 years (before designing our own based on all our good (and bad!) experiences). The 3 screws in the cap is a bit unusual and is not ringing any bells at the moment. The best way to identify the system is to take this cap off and post a photo of the actual extrusion looking down. Hopefully this will also show the fixing method which will help. If you can do this will be more than happy to help if I can. (But definitely not Nova as theirs is the same as ours.)

Thanks everyone
Rebecca is out today – I’d already looked at and discounted Spandex, Simplex, KSUK, Nova, Universal, Ashby, and Insight for her
Modulex and their Compass range was my last punt but cant find any extrusion profiles for their posts
Gill, thanks for your link, but I cant get the PDF on the website to down-load so I can check the profile
any chance of emailing it over?

Just had a look in our technical library and came across the attached. Apco’s Signbar system has 3 screws and their orientation to the panel is the same. No way of being sure without taking the cap off (and the mill finish section between the planks and feet fixings are throwing it off a bit) but might be a good start.
You can get hold of them at http://www.apcosigns.co.uk/products/signbar/ or we are approved converters of their range http://www.simplexltd.com but would suggest the extrusion looks like the picture at the top of the attached beforehand otherwise it’s back to the drawing board…..

Thank you Andy, That’s really helpful, I hadn’t even considered Apco

No problem Craig. Here to help. If it’s not Apcos then post a photo of the profile and i’ll refer back to the good ol technical library to scan through a few more books! 😆
