MediaCo, Manchester has installed a Vutek UltraVu 5330 EC to increase its diversification into new and lucrative markets such as a billboard campaign for the movie Shrek 2. The company also produced the Sloggi hot-air balloon using Vutek equipment. The company has worked closely with Vutek since 1998 and has installed four different types of Vutek printers. Its new UltraVu 5330 EC sits alongside an UltraVu 5300 five-meter printer, an UltraVu 3360 EC for 360 dpi photo-realistic production, and a Vutek Fabrivu textile printer which was used to produce the Sloggi balloon. Mark Wardle, managing director of MediaCo says: “The new printer’s five-meter capability further enhances the extensive range of in-house services that we can offer clients.

Coupled with our UltraVu 5300, the Vutek UltraVu 5330 EC means we never need to sacrifice quality for productivity.” MediaCo works in a wide variety of markets. Its main strengths are within the high quality retail sector and outdoor sign market. It also produces stage and television sets, hot air balloon envelopes and retro verso printing and has produced work for a host of worldwide brands and advertising agencies. “We are able to provide solutions that fully realise agencies’ designs in print.
