    Hi Dave,

Unfortunately my printer doesn’t have the system info submenu in the printer to find ip according to roland this is because it’s an older machine. However I managed to get it to sync up lastnight using the PRINTSERVER-Nettool to change IP of the printer to my laptop excluding the last 3 digits were different.

    Thanks everyone for your help.

    Hi Martin,

I’ve attached a photo mate, showing IP, 010.000.000.010 using nettool and it was working on this IP. The guy set it up that sold me it but its the other information I need subnet mask & gateway ip to be able to fully communicate with printer. Also i’ve just seen that this printer doesn’t come with the "IP address info" menu on the printer as it’s an earlier model apparently the newer models come with the option to set & lookup this information through the printer.

    Cheers,
    Adam

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply. Versaworks is demanding I fill in IP. I’ve tried the 10.0.0.10 and no luck. It’s got something to do with network tcp/ip settings. As it’s having a problem communicating laptop>cadet. Network Access is crossed out.

It was working great but since I’ve unplugged it and put my normal internet network cable in it’s reset settings back to my broadband ip settings. Does the subnet mask ip on the printer also have to match with your network also? As I don’t know what the subnet mask is set to on the printer. It seems like I need to somehow find all the information other then then IP is thee anyway of printing this information out from the printer menu? What about gateway IP, do I set this to 10.0.0.10 as well? Confused.com haha.

Unfortunately can’t add another network card to laptop :(. May have to buy a laptop with 2 Ethernet ports or purchase a ethernet to USB adapter.
