Zarges Teletower, views and opinions please?
Anyone used the Zarges Teletower, if so would your rate it? Thanks

I have not seen that actual access tower before, but are those legs, like the telescopic ladders you can buy that fit in your wallet?
Joking aside, mini-towers like this are definitely more acceptable now as way of working platforms and conform to H&S requirements. I am just wary of stability and not a fan of lightweight general clip build type setups.
It would be good to hear what @Iain-Pearson thinks of them if he has been using one?

After speaking with a supplier they have confirmed the flex you encounter with the ladder types doesn’t appear with the tower due to the braces, its 150kg max weight so two people is realistically out of the question. They also said that although the out riggers offer extra footprint they are not suitable for jacking if the ground is not level / even. These points aside for a touch under £1000 I am leaning towards a purchase. Yes would be interesting to hear from an owner/operator.

Hi Tim, great & thanks. I think the main concern I have is being able to use on pavements where they are not perfectly level as majority Seem to slope away from buildings etc. Do you simply use the outriggers to level or do you need to pack under to raise? Thanks

The lower part with the wheel can also raise independently. So you can adjust that way and use the outriggers for extra stability.

As a man that doesn’t like heights those telescopic ladders are scary. Actually at a job recently where the painters one packed in and he slid the whole way Down a wall and fractured something in his back.
On the other hand am knackered by the time we setup our mobile tower. Bet it will save a bunch of time and reduce the urge to just do it off ladders.

We’ve bought one of these and have to say it’s fantastic. 2 of us can build and dismantle it in a matter of minutes. Super study, highly recommended.

I have to admit, I much prefer aluminium trestles with an aluminium catwalk.
very quick and easy to set up and take down. allows me height to do any size vehicle and shop front. anything over and above that I use a cherry picker.
this video is 18 years old, taken in 2002. I still have these trestles as well as a few new sets.

How tall are your Trestles & what sort of working height does that give you? Love the music!!

Apologies for the very late response to this thread, i hope you have it sorted now, but if not then let me give you my honest opinion.
I love it, for many different reasons, mainly 1 man assembly, will fit in an estate car or small van, its ridiculously mobile and worth every penny i paid.
Platform height of just over 2 mtrs so can easy reach 4 mtrs unless you are decidedly short.
easily goes in lifts and other small spaces, which is a bonus if you are working in large buildings and shopping centres. When you first get it, it does feel a bit weird, and kind of unstable, but trust me, its rock solid on the ground. Little outriggers keep it planted.

Thanks Iain, i had ordered one and then the company admitted they didn’t have any stock and didn’t know when they would! Awaiting a refund then will go elsewhere! I have seen brand new ones from £800 upto £1700 and spec’s are the same, looks as if there is one manufacturer and a few companies badging them. Thanks again.
