Your favourite script fonts
Posted by Steve Underhill on January 4, 2008 at 1:06 pmJust wondering what you all prefer use when you use a script type font, as in calligraphic hand written ones, for example Sofia script or Valentino etc.
I have a few but just wondered which ones every one else likes, I’m looking for nice new fonts like this, and would like to see what everyone else uses.
I need to spend some of this money I never spent at Xmas cos we all had the flu.Steve Underhill replied 16 years, 4 months ago 5 Members · 8 Replies -

I use traditional looking fonts such as Bank, English or Commercial
Others such as Palace tend to be difficult to read from a distance
Commercial is heavy but is more easily read

Check out these two sites:
Signfonts. com (maker of valentino and they have a new one called Heartbeat)
http://www.artandsignstudio.com/fonts.html
Sign DNA (they have beautiful scripts from Mike Stevens and Bob Behounek)
http://www.signdna.com/v2/cart/category.php?id=35&gp=32
Whatever you do…don’t bother with Brush Script!

Oh I never do use brush script Jill, dont worry I hate that font.
I was just interested to know what other people liked, you know theres always a font you like but nobody else does, and the first site you listed there is one I have been looking at, the signfonts one, absolutely cracking fonts, I really do fancy one of their font packs. and the $99 one looks good I think.
I will check out the other one now
Cheers

Well I just spent $99.95 on the script font package from art & sign studio, some very nice fonts there for the price.
14 fonts for £52 it worked out at, good value.

I love "Magic" from http://www.signdna.com
http://www.letterheadfonts.com has some great scripts created by signwriters. Sofia is my personal favorite.
