Your flagship company vehicle, how much does your company vehicle say about your business, what do you guys own, cars, vans, trucks, signed or unsigned?

Good question Graham. For work we have a Transporter & a Caddy, both in serious need of new livery. Problem is I never have the time to work on the business as we’re too busy working in it

We have the trusty VW Caddy.

Until recently we had a Mercedes Sprinter too, but it didn’t get used to it’s full potential, and we sold it whilst the market was in our favour.

    Both were signed up.

With the emissions charge coming in, for the type of work we do, we might sack off the van and just get an estate car.

we have always had sprinter vans and many moons ago we had our own cherrypicker vehicle for about 10 years which allowed us about a 40ft reach, all were branded. we got rid of the cherry-picker as the contract work we were doing changed. I must have driven that the length and breadth of the UK.
we had a competition on UKSB for anyone that could spot me out travelling on a two-week signage tour across the UK.
Richard Hard from Quazar International signs in Kent won! he was out at a burger van buying his lunch when he walked by us fitting signs. He shouted up to me in the cherry picker bucket, “rob lambie, I do believe you owe me £200, mate!” 🤣🤣 easy money for him, i had to work like a dog to pay that competition. 🤣

a couple of the lads knocked up this little replica of my van for my birthday a few weeks ago. (just for the record, we have zero to do with the fast signs franchise)

I have a Volkswagen Passat estate. i had graphics on the rear window until it was cracked recently. i think i will switch to VW polo type van. undecided at the moment.

Rob, i love the toy van. i think my customers would love something like this on their desk. you have me thinking now!

Started my business with a Passat estate, the best compromise between a van & a car ever in my opinion, far better than these pimped up truck cars that every customer buys then gets rid when they drink fuel

I agree they are great and very comfortable, Kevin. It is more about the wear and tear aspect i am thinking about as it is on one of those lease type agreements. the cracked window was when i was closing the boot and i had steps in the back. 😣 time will tell, i just think having something more robust in the back and to be able to carry larger signs and things for delivery will help.

Here’s are trusty Ford Transit. Fully wrapped with printed Avery Supreme, Oracal 970RA, & Oracal reflective for the text at the front. Kitted out inside with a rack on one side for holding signage with storage behind it for the scaffolding, and some drawers and shelves on the other side for tools and fixings etc. Have to say though it’s pretty embarrassing looking at how dirty it is here, it’s something we’ll have to try to keep on top of better.

we have nothing special kitted out inside our van. its really just a van with a pile of Dewalt tool box cases, trestles and catwalk. we do have an inverter with 8 plugs port and 8 USB so we can use heat guns powered from the van or have a bunch of batteries on charge etc. would be lost without the power source.

This is my delivery vehicle. We pride ourselves on our fast turnaround and even faster delivery service. The roof canopy opens up for easy access and will accept a full pallet load of signs. Even better, if the signs or ladders are too long to fit inside, I simply leave the canopy open with the ladders sticking out. Fitting signs on site is a doddle, no need for fancy cherry pickers, I simply stand on the roof whilst my partner operates the hydraulic mechanism which raises and lower to roof up to a maximum of 10 metres in height. The vehicle is classified as an historic vehicle and as such is tax free and exempt from impending emission laws so no worries about being banned from driving in city centres in the future. A good all rounder. Every sign company should have at least one of these in its fleet

Won’t need a harness with that mate, just wedge the nose at the bottom of the ladder.

Ignore me, I’m drunk texting, probably not the best thing fot me to be running 2 embroidery machines either

We have Renault Master (2017), Renault Kangoo (2014) and a Citroen Berlingo (2011), all fully wrapped to hide dings and dents.
