    Hi all,
Wonder if any of you computer geniuses can help. I have a Yahoo ID which I can no longer access for some reason, I cant access my yahoo email account either. Does anyone know if it is possible my ID has been stolen? Or if something else is wrong. I have entered all info correctly
    thanks

Have you tried the password retrieval?

Where you do I "I’ve forgotten" and it prompts you for answers / send to an alternative email address.

Also – try clearing your cookies / cache.

TOOLS – INTERNET OPTION – CLEAR HISTORY / COOKIES etc.

If you haven’t used it for some time, ie. used as a backup only, Yahoo will cancel it off the system without warning. Well they couldn’t warn you if you hadn’t logged on but then if you had logged on then they wouldn’t have cut you off….if you get my drift 😮

    • I’ve used the same Yahoo mail account since 1995 without incident.
    • Be warned that if you don’t log into the account on a regular basis, then it will be flagged as inactive.
    • Reactivating an account is as simple as logging in using your user name and password. However, old messages are deleted from inactive accounts.
    • You should be okay so long as your account remains active, though note they do a rolling purge of messages older than one year.
    • Good convenience in being able to use any Internet browser to access your mail. However, be cautious of jokers that use keyloggers on public access terminals to get your password.
    • The new Yahoo Mail Beta is a significant improvment over the old interface. The new interface is reminiscent of e-mail clients like Outlook Express, with good address book management and a mix of convenient hot keys.

    Cheers,

    Rod
