  • Wrapping a caravan, vinyl recommendations please?

Hi, can anyone suggest a cheap vinyl that would be suitable for wrapping a caravan? The surface has a rippled finish so I’m guessing I’d need a wrap material of some type or do you think I’d get away with normal vinyl? There are no corners as such to conform around. Its only a cheap caravan I bought to see how we get on with it so don’t want to spend a fortune. I’ve attached a pic showing the type of finish it has. Thanks as always

David I would have thought one of those super high – tack vinyls for wrapping concrete walls would work on this surface. I believe Arlon has one.

I would try Oracal 751 which is a cast vinyl but not as expensive as a true wrapping vinyl. I would be concerned that a cheaper calandered vinyl would not conform enough or stay put in the dimples.

Maybe use some kind of sponge/flexible roller to press the vinyl into the dimples which should act as an air release system providing chanels for the air to escape during application?

Thanks. Must get a chat with our supplier and get a couple of sample to try. Will be stored in a barn for the next 6 months so plenty of time to do it at my leisure

I asked this question last month for a same surface trailer. No 3D surface. Flat side trailer.
Non high tack vinyl will fail on this project.
The manufacturer of the trailer in Germany also recommends this vinyl.
