• Working in Sunny Spain

    Hola, (that’s Spanish for Hola),

I have not been very active on this site for some time owing to pressure of work, so hello again.

Now ………. I was wondering if anyone out there would be interested in living and working here in Spain.

I have been established here for three years in a rapidly-growing area 20 minutes from Malaga and the beaches. This is the only sign-shop in the area and has the potential to grow and grow.

My problem is I’m getting too old and knackered to keep on at this rate on my own , as I have two other businesses to run as well.

I now am offering a deal to someone – The Sign Factory is either for sale complete as a going concern with all equipment or I would consider holding a not very active partnership, or – if anyone esle has any bright ideas to allow me some time on the beach, I would be willing to listen.

The Sign Factory is based in a mountain town called Alhaurin el Grande – you’ll find it on the map to the West of Malaga. There is a massive Brit contingent here – no wonder really, ’cause the weather is brilliant and the cost of most things here is well below those in the U.K.

Our client base is 99% English speaking, so the language is not a problem and materials are easily obtained.

As there is a tremendous influx of ex-pats opening businesses here, work is never in short supply.

Now, there’s the scenario – whaddya think?

Bit off topic but……………Did the same in 91/92 went out there and lived in Los Boliches (not that far from you) intending to have a year off, ended up doing more work out there than i did here. All hand painted, taught me a thing or two about drying times and upped my speed. I’m very tempted but like you at 50 I ant to slow down.
