• Workbench sheeting

Posted by Chris Wilson on March 14, 2017 at 10:50 am

    Hi folks,

Someone posted up recently about polycarbonate sheeting for the top of the work bench. We have a big one that will need 3x 8ft x 4ft sheets of this. Just wanted to check this was the right stuff and I’ve not got the wrong end of the stick.

    2mm 2440 x1220 Solid Polycarbonate Sheet

This is cost me around £160, so if anyone can suggest cheaper or better am all ears.

    Cheers
    Chris

Not sure where the thread is, but are you sure they didn’t mean polypropylene sheet?

Try a search for polypropylene on the forum, that gets mention on most posts where people ask about table top coverings & will be cheaper as well 😆 😆

    Thanks guys.
Always get confused with the different poly types. No something I look at often

Seriously a good quality vinyl flooring turned upside down works a treat. The one I have has squares on the back for cutting also perfect for alignment etc. You can get free off cuts from many floor places. I have the proper stuff and this works just as good and cost me nothing
