  • Work from north of highlands- new processes learnt

Been learning a few things recently and thought I would share as I always enjoy looking at others.

We were mainly just vehicle graphics, garments, flat signs and trays.. all the easy stuff basically. Always put off light trays as I thought they were 100 times more complicated than they were.

But we’ve now ticked off in last few months

    Fret cut illuminated sign tray
Built up acrylic letters sign tray
Letters on stand off locators (thanks to the pointers on correct glue *hangs head in shame*)
First full car wrap in MDX.

Feel free to pick holes. We do ourselves. Only way to get better. Plus any suggestions on what to try next.

    Good selection there.
On the Mcbain’s…a bit more breathing room round the text as pretty close to the sides and font choice for the description is hard to read being script (whether your choice or customers). And pull back the "s" to be more balanced with the apostrophe.

Maybe think about stacking them one above the other if you get a similar project.

    Hi David,

    Cheers.
Yea we thought all the same. But customer dictated the position and the fonts. Although script was a nightmare to CNC cut so next time it will be a flat out no unless it close the size of mcbains.

Never noticed the S though. I can see it now. Does look off.

yeah yeah, pull the other… oh…

Did that myself once on some composite letters I made (by hand, never again), was an ‘A’ for me! I imagine that they’re still there as nobody has said anything in the 7yrs since they went up! And NO, no photo!

Some nice work there Chris, What Dave said about the restaurant text etc. but otherwise, looks fine!

I thought that would slip through the net (rolls eyes). Eagle eyes on here ay… haha.

Yea my mistake. Teaches me for not looking at the mock. The other lad was doing the smaller text and had his the same as mine and as we are using red from a left over job and it’s a freebie for a mate I let it go…
