• windows update?

I am a bit concerned about the latest update.
My comps have genuine windows os, but microsoft is now saying that it wants to confirm this, (by giving them info) if I don’t, I will not be entitled to any more upgrades.
    Am I reading this correctly

A couple of weeks ago we had the message come up on a work PC saying that we weren’t running genuine Microsoft products.

Fact of the matter is they were all genuine and since this time we have not seen this message again and have had a couple of further updates.

    Most peculiar

Basically there are so many copies of windows about they have now brought out this update patch that checks you have a genuine copy… It update this authenticity code all the time, its not just a one off, and if you don’t let it install you’ll get no updates
