    Hello there

Haven’t used either of these products but had to do some overlays on the outside of a window recently with clear tape and had some job getting the application tape off without the graphics.

It was a wet application and want to try one of these fluids to speed things up a bit.

I know its unlikely but has anyone used both?

    Or can vouch for either?

    regards

    James

Rapid Tac 2 is for glass. I use rapid tac all the time for registration jobs.
For outside this time of year it will take a while to evaporate off. Just squeegee well and be patient. Some bits may be milky but will clear after a few days. This is sandblast type window film I’m talking about. Clear app tape is a pain with fluid even rapid tack it doesn’t breathe the same as paper and takes ages to settle on glass. Paper app tape is easy to see through once it’s wet. I only use the clear nowadays for small registration jobs I do dry.

I only use rapid tac for flood coating glass.

I recently trashed 5m of quality etch because it wouldn’t dry, it was warm outside (14deg), warm and moisture free inside, over 2hrs and still not dry enough to remove the paper from cut graphics. I’ll never use it for cut stuff on glass again.

Do ALL glass dry unless flood coating. A window is a giant light box so should be an easy task to layer, though you can do the upper layers wet if you need to.

I have a sign pal who used window juice exclusively (and bragged about it a lot) we were on a job together and he tried my Rapid Tac 2.
He couldn’t believe how much better he liked it.
