Just tried this on the rear sensors on my Transit Connect (2014/5 model), a bit of Oracle 551 over each of 4 and it made no difference at all. On my vehicle the sensors shows 3 distance warnings on the screen, all of them worked fine.

Phil your later and my later are different lengths of time by a long shot….
NOW I’ve wrapped them and discovered some work some don’t….I SHOULD have checked them BEFOREhand to see if they worked in the first place…..ah well too late now…
so this test is inconclusive… 🙄

UNLESS you go with Steves test! lol

I’d always assumed they wouldn’t work – but was intrigued to know if this was the case or not.

I think on the basis of this non conclusive result I will go on assuming they shouldn’t be covered – unless Steve is prepared to sign an afadavit confirming otherwise

Affidavit eh? – I’m swearing profusely as I type this. Is that ok?

I think that parking sensors are ultrasound devices and within reason are not going to be affected by a layer of paint or vinyl but that may only apply to factory fitted devices. I suppose worst case would be that they don’t work after wrapping so trim back the vinyl and make sure that’s before the custome backs his Bentley into a wall 😀

Steve you have made a terrible job of those wrapped sensors…. I mean, look at them, creased, not in place correct and not even the right size. tisk! 😕 they may not effect your sensors, but your almost blocking your bloody brake light! 🙄

    wot? (puppy-eyes)
