why is ink drained through to waste bottle rockhopper38?
come to my printer today to find a error code (ymc nearly empty)
thought this was strange as ive just 6 weeks ago had eco-solvent ultra conversion done and only printed about 15-20 metres.
on closer inspection found large puddle of ink behind printer,
looks like the inks have bled through the capping station to the waste bottle..
anyone else had this problem or could shed some light on cause..
just wondering if this could be down to conversion, please help

have had this myself on my Rocky 38, new capping station was required
mine was still in warranty at the time but i have since changed the capping station myself. If you are hands on you can do it yourself, if its still under warranty make sure they replace the inks F.O.C. If i can help you any more PM me & i’ll see what i can do.Kev

spent the day ringing round,
on calling the company who did the ink conversion they spoke to mutoh who told them that the capping station has gone caput due to the printer being left on over the weekend.
anyway out of warranty so now i need to find capping station replacement
any help would be greatly received

Contact Harry at Edward Mathias he can get parts from Art Systems who only deal with dealers & not the likes of us. Just purchased one myself, believe they keep them instock now.
. As to the reason why, its Bull**** my machine has been on virtually since the day i purchased it.Kev

When you converted to the ultra inks, did you replace the waste pipes & rubber wipe strip. This is recommended by Mutoh & costs approx £30 vat.?L J
sorry, just re read your post, thought your puddle was on the floor (as in waste pipes melted)
