why is glue comming through 20mm onto White Capping?
Hi all
Need some help with the following – apologies if my terminology is not correct.
We are producing illuminated Pan panel signs that are for external signage positions. The make up of the face of the sign is as follows –
Clear 5mm panel that is adhered to the inside of the panel covering the logo aperture.
Sitting on top of the clear I have 20mm clear flame polished cut set letter / logo which protrudes through the face aperture with a 1mm key line surrounding. The 20mm is capped off with a 5mm color perspex to face, this is all fine and dandy until we face with white. The problem with White is the glue marks from the 20mm to the clear back panel are illuminated through the white capping and show for all and sundry to see. The capping is there to knock out the light and allows a glow off light surrounding the logo / letters.
I have contacted two of my suppliers and they have given me there most dense white but still we are seeing the glue, we have capped with aluminum but this takes the capping away from my router and also needs to be powder coated so not the best option for the business.
Is there a White stock that will not allow light through I will go to 10mm if I have to but would rather not. Or perhaps a magical glue?
Please help if you can
Cheers
