  • why does signlab have tool bar problems?

We customised our toolbar settings on one of our copies of Signlab 6 but when you re start it loses it- any suggestions . Also does anyone have problems running Signlab along with Photoshop [both programs open together causes everything to go very slowly and eventually lock – the computer is 480mb]

Think that is just another one of the many, many bugs signlab has. *rofl*
Photoshop is incredibly memory hungry, don’t run them together if your computer aint up to it.

I may be wrong here, and its a shot in the dark, but I get the impression you don’t like SignLab Mr. Outline! :lol1:

I am always running multiple Signlab files, Corel Draw, Corel Paint and others at the same time with no problems at all.
Gorilla are your toolbars fixed or floating? floating ones don’t seem to stick.

    Hello,

There is an outstanding issue with floating toolbars that get lost when Signlab is closed. If you dock the toolbar it should be OK.
I know this is the case in SL 7 and think its the same in 6.

It was reported from this site recently and while I tried to get it fixed for 7.1, it didnt make it. But we do aim to fix it as a patch for 7.1 to be released in a few months that will have a new module releaesd for Signlab.

I am not aware of any issues running SL and PhotoShop and we do this a lot in house. However if you are working with very large bitmaps in either PhotoShop and / or Signlab then this could cause performance issues as you can just get I/O bound on your hard disc.
When it runs slow, have a look and see if your disc light is going like crazy.
If iit is you can add more memory, make sure you have plenty of free disc space and do a defrag on your hard drive to help.

    Best regards
