why does my router not read the dxf/dwg files?
Posted by Neill Mennell on February 23, 2006 at 4:26 pmHelp needed please,
We have a Pacer HD1250 CNC Router with the latest Pacer Software, unfortunately it does not read the dxf/dwg files exported from illustrator CS2. 🙁Any body using a similar set up?

Goto http://www.aidsoftware.co.uk and if necessary speak to Jim, he may be able to help – I know he runs a Pacer too.

Had the same problem ai 9 files on Pacer……..[drove me mental….squared of edges]
download a dxf plug in for illustrator……gives an extra dxf export command.
I’m sure it was from CValley.
Search for DXF export filters for CS2.
Cheers

To all the members a big thank you as we are at our wits end with this, I would buy Corel but when you have G5 macs and all Adobe software it grates me a bit.

Neill,
Please let me know how and if you resolved the problem…….
Would also appreciate it if someone could export this file as a dxf from Corel and send back.
I still have the occassional problem with some vector points. Many Thanks in advance

Andrew,
I wouldn’t know a DXF file if it bit my backside, but have Corel and imported the AI and exported as DXF from Corel 12. (left the Autocad 2002 setting).
Will send as pm as cannot attach here
