Posted by Aaron Powell on September 9, 2007 at 7:36 am

Ok i downloaded a program called "Virusprotectpro" i can’t delete the program at all, I can find it in my programs and tried to delete it in there but it will not delete because it says that the program is still running, i have Little icon that is flashing at the bottom right hand corner when i right click it brings up IE with the website of that program and pop-ups are coming up too

Ok any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Have you looked in add/remove programs?
Normally if you right click the item it will give you options to stop or change settings, failing that ctr/alt/del will bring bring up the task manager, you can stop the prog from there.

Other than that, there are qite often uninstall instruction on they website you got it from, or in its own helpfiles?

If you only installed it a few days ago you might be able to do a restore to a date before you installed it, that might solve your problem.

    cheers

Next time you want to download something just Google it first as in this case it would have warned you off.
