loks like most of us are in for a blast of artic conditions, anyone got outdoor work lined up for the next day or so? luckily we got panic signs finished and installed saturday, we can swing things about to be working indoors on vans, wraps, etc. hoping it wont disrupt too many of us for too long

I was in durham/newcastle earlier today and got turned breifly into a snowman by a small localised blizzard it seemed.

came back to “sunny” south wales and there’s lovely weather.

so no, I won’t be, however, I’ve got a work-experience to deal with. I’d rather take the snow.

kev, thats lovely news you bring mate 😮
over the next few days m outside constant and on the cherry picker 😕
big signs to be put up in inverness, thats about 10 hours drive there and back.. its in the highlands of scotland so i assume it will come with the barbados weather conditions we have grown to love here in scotland 🙁

sorry Rob saw it on the news earlier!
just get those thermals on and you’ll be right!

    Ramj
i empathise with you on the work -experince person, you would probably be better in the snow, less stressful!

    take it easy guys 😛

got home alright but the feul pump went the next week.
I have my beloved m3 back on the road again so things arent too bad.
Did you buy the printer off victory signs yet?. Im still looking its a big decision. I would love to buy a 54 cadet if it had a bulk system.

Did it miss you then John? We had a full 3 flakes in Wellingborough today!
Severe weather warning my arse! I’ve been using the weatherman’s warning as an excuse for not washing the car all weekend, but today the girlfriend made me do it. Bugger!

As for tomorrow, I’ve got 4 catering trailers to do outside and I know it’s going to be brass monkeys.

Yes, it missed us Andy. Again.

I don’t reckon it has snowed properly here since about 1963. 🙁

I can’t remember that far back John!
We always seem to miss the worst extremes of the weather though, don’t you think? I’ve seen all sorts of mayhem on the news before, with snow drifts all over the country, yet not a bit here.

It’s probably because we’re nearer the equator than all these Northerners. 🙂

No Andy. It’s not because we’re nearer the equator.

It’s because the sun shines on the righteous. 😀

Up here its more like when doesn’t it snow!

Working up scaffolding with your beard sticking to the metalwork is always fun.

Here are a few shots from a recent trip….and its still very white outside 🙂

Its very very very cold here but no snow!! If we did get snow it would not be too bad as we have all inside fitting work on vans to do most of this week anyway 😀

But it is nice when it snows … the last time I remember it snowing deep enough to really play in was when I was about 5 or 6 …… my brother was trying to build an igloo and made me sit inside so I could support the wall as he tried to build it 😕 :lol1:

Steve :lol1: weekend warrier… na mate. one of my clients shouted my family, mum, dad and sister to a day out. He had the 4×4 troopie so I accepted the offer.

trouble is my butt is still numb 😳 I think my spine was compressed from the jolting on the sand, then, travelling sideways got the motion sickness going, and we found out he didn’t know what SLOW meant. 😥

I did the pope thing when I got home and kissed the ground. 🙄

My 10yo thought it was the greatest, but I came to the conclusion that I must have left my adventurist spirit at home. Either that, or at 45 I must be past it 🙄

It was a good day tho, and got some lovely shots of the beach. Pity I can’t post them here, it might warm you guys up :lol1:

    Cheers

Kevin, can not imagine how you guys work in that weather. Us Queenslanders start to complain when the temp drops below 20 deg c. 😎

I am always telling people how much I hate summer.
I was up at Lancelin (West Aust) last week and it was 45 degrees (hot)
however after reading some of these posts I don’t think I will ever complain again. It sounds horrible. Anyway have to go now to turn the COOLER unit down on the VersaCamm 😀

    Vinnie,
Now I know where my deliveries sometimes end up. Down in bl***y Margate. We share the same company name – Phoenix Signs.

Snowed like hell this morning, customer rang up cannot get his van over here for us to letter as he couldn’t get through to Sunny Scunny from Doncaster.
Little blondy who is 19 yrs old yesterday & only recently passed her driving test, who works for me has to travel country lanes approx 8 miles too work, managed to get here only 20 mins late. (without an accident).
The whole area came to a dead stop for bl—y miles around here, all you could see was standing traffic everywhere you looked.
1st sign of snow in this country & we come to a standstill.
And they reckon it’s going to get worse this week.

We are having severe weather here in southern California! It has rained almost an inch!!! Send the red cross for help!! 😀
This is about as severe as it gets and I just walked outside in my t-shirt to get the mail and I’m barely wet. Gotta love California. (Sorry to rub it in!)

Hey mate, I have relatives in Narrogin, Pingelly and Carnarvon. Is Lancelin near there. They are always complaining about the heat in the West.

We have a strange land here in OZ. The other day here in Logan City, we had 37 deg c, and my Bro in-law in Ballerat had a 9 deg c day, on the same day.

    Cheers

    Hey Shane,

Lancelin is on the coast about 100 k north of Perth. If you don’t like Surfing,
Fishing or sand dunes you won’t like it. It’s also one of the windiest places on
earth, on a hot day it’s like standing in a heated sand blaster….Great 😮
