Using Poli-flex and Seri-flex (AFAIK it’s a rebranded version of Poli-flex) and it’s nice to work with. Available in loads of colors and some special versions aswell, jeans, carbon fibre, reflective, glitter etc.

because the magic touch spain office kept sending the magic cut sheets folded in half, and the delivery time was about 3 weeks, and they never seemed to have any stock??

I wanted to upgrade to UKSG but never got a reply to my emails. Im only 3 month into my Gold subscription and im not willing to pay another years subscription to go to UKSG and lose 9 months money.

Dan. I only buy odds and ends very occasionally from MT Madrid.
I used to use the cut sheets years ago, but they´re very wastefull. Also it´s virtually impossible to line up 2 or more colours because of the opaque carrier.
I get all my thermal vinyl from Foiltex in Madrid. Great service! It´s not the cheapest, but definately the best. You can buy it by the metre.
You can get cheaper stuff…Poli-flex from Tower Print in Valencia. I buy the inkjet-dark from them.
    Both these outfits have websites.
Plenty of other suppliers as well.

Im sure if you paid the difference between the 2 something could be worked out surely?
not that I know, but seems feasible.

its only a tenner – i’d probably pay that now just to see if it’s worth it for the last remaining month on my current subscription

do you get discounts from xpres – i know you use them a lot steve?

    Unfortunately no discounts from Xpres
you have to work hard at getting them to discount anything.
Im using them less and less now as Grafityp have all the colours of T shirt vinyl I need except 1 shade of green and 1 blue.
and its about 60p a metre cheaper than Xpres even with the discount I negotiated with them, so about a pound cheaper than normal vinyl.

What force settings do you use for your Grafityp stuff?

well it depends how blunt the blade is and what I’m cutting, with a new blade I usually cut normal vinyl at 60, glitter and flock at 70-80, and T shirt transfer paper at between 50 and 70.
sign vinyl anything from 60 to 80 depending on whos brand it is.

I use 90 on the xpres garment stuff, but tried that on the Grafityp sample and it didnt cut. Im using a Roland Versacamm.

if the blade is sharp 90 seems excessive but if it works then fine, I use both Xpres and Grafityp vinyls and cut both at the same force, I use a Roland GX-24 Camm1 pro

The blades almost new, the equipment is only just over a month old. I also use the GX-24 (I got mixed up, its not the Versacamm). It cuts the Xpres Superflex and Easyflex no problem, nice and eay to weed too, but the Grafityp stuff just didnt cut. I was using the glitter material, I still have the samples of the neon and plain in the drawer.

without sounding condescending, you’re not cutting the wrong side are you?
that’s happened before and its easy to to, My lad who works for me did it the other day and he cuts it all the time.
IE you cut the dull side not the glittery side, easy mistake to make.
sometimes I used to cut the xpres stuff at like 130 as it was so tough, but that I think was due to blade, I cot 2 metres of grafityp glitter today with a new (ish) blade at 80 grams as its not blunt but not perfect

i just looked at Grafityp and the site is not a pleasure to navigate
i’m sure i saw that they did sparkle and other specialitys but i can’t find it now

and flock was 7.47 where its 5.75 at xpres

are your prices with the discount?
what is the discount of full membership?

Lol!!! You know what, you may have a good point there! Im so used to the Xpres stuff being on a roll and it being obvious what side to cut that you may be right.

Ill double check in the morning when im back in the office.

I agree that the Grafityp site is very difficult to navigate, but I suppose you only need use it once or twice, once you know what you want you can just bypass the site and use the very good catalogues they send you.
