who are the best courier company to deliver long poles?
Hi all,
Our core business is producing flags and flagpoles and as such we send a lot of flagpoles out via courier each day. Most common is a 6m flagpole which is sent in 2 halves, longest being 3.3m long.
We have been using Tuffnels for a while now but costs are rocketing and we are now being charged £35 + to deliver 1 flagpole.
In first instance a few couriers will say they can not take anything longer than 3m, but I just cant believe no one else apart from Tuffnels can help us.
Any help???

I suppose it depends on where you are in the country, but I’ve had good results from Transplus. Worth a try I suppose!

We use TNT for all our shipments within the UK
They are happy to take large steel traffic sign posts up to 5m in length – can’t advise what price you may pay as they charge "£x"per kilo irrelevant of size or volume so will depend on the weight of your poles. Never had any problems with them and they offer various levels of delivery times i.e. Next Day, before 12.00, 10.30, 9.00am etc
