    Some digital vinyl is grey backed
    Are there any advantages to it being grey instead of white?

    helps stop the paint colour showing or affecting the print colour.

    also for labels to cover existing print.

    My understanding is that it covers better if applying over a pre-coloured surface. Some suppliers even call the grey backed stuff total block.

    Other than that, I can see no purpose for it.

    would work well with the one way vision concept of using the stripes on the back window 😉
