Has anyone have any experience using printers with White inks?
We are often asked to produce clear window stickers and am getting tired of backing up using white vinyl. Ive read somewhere that white ink has a lot of "chalk" like pigment that can block up heads etc. Iam looking at the Roland SolJet™ Pro III V XC-540 as i like roland machines.

Any pointers would be gratefully received.

    Cheers

all white ink is made up from Titanium Oxide which is the white pigment, by physical nature this very heavy. This causes the pigment to separate from its carrier solution. So you end up with pigment laying in the bottom of Cartridges, ink lines & heads. So the printer needs to be using the white continuously other wise you will be spending a lot of time forever cleaning the system to use it.

I do believe that they will develop a system to recycle the ink hence keeping the pigment floating soon. Technology for this as been around on coding machines for ages & the garment printers now use a system so personally i feel it is only a matter of time.
