hi folks ive got a transit mini bus job coming up need some advice really . i want to blank out the windows in white one way vision vinyl …is this feasible /possible? i suppose id have to use one way vinyl for the lettering as well .Ive heard about this stuff but dont no of a supplier perhaps you could point me in the right direction there as well . if it was just the back windows id probably do the two mill trips of vinyl routine but the would be really time consuming on this .

    any help appreciated

Best way is to print onto the contra vision then laminate and apply. Hexis supply it in various widths and do part rolls. Hope this helps

"One Way Vision" should always be printed – I would not recommend cutting out the perforated film or applying cut vinyl letter over top as you will see letters in rev from inside of van.

Digi print and MUST be laminated with suitable overlaminate when used on a vehicle, otherwise holes will get blocked with dirt/spray from road etc.

If you don`t print yourself ask around for suitable trade printers who offer a one way vision solution

Also when applying to windows leave a gap (5 -10mm) around edges and edge seal with liquid edge sealer or clear self adhesive tape otherwise it will lift off.

I’ve got our phone number over our laminated one way vision. Yes you can see the numbers but if you applied the numbers to the window you’d see them anyway.

Yes you can apply lettering over the top but the whole point with a one way vision is just that …. its one way 😉

However I take the point that if you just want the "one way" for background only or an image and the text is either very small or you require more impact / legibility then producing text as a vinyl layer applied over the laminate is quite acceptable
