  • Which Printer Should I Buy?

    Hi All,

I am now in the position to invest in a printer. I have £5000 to spend, so I would obviously only get a second hand one with that.

I have only ever used Rolands, and I know them inside out, including maintenance, cleaing, servicing etc.

What would you recommend me to get for 5k? Ideally I would need it to print and cut, since my cutter isn’t that wide. I know I could invest in a wider cutter, but I feel I’m not making as much because I have to farm all my printing out, which is also inconvenient.

    All advice is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Matt

    Hi Matt,

I’d say that sticking with what you know will help you to get the most out of your printer- If you can find a good second hand SP300/540v/i that has been kept well and using only Roland inks that would be ideal. You may like to try speaking to a Roland dealer to see if they know of any ex-demo’s or something similar, i’ be a bit wary of ebay etc.

As another option you could look to get a new BN20 – excellent value print and cut…basically a small VS!

Be good to know how you get on

    Cheers
